This sounds like a good idea. However, I won't be a badass. I will be something along the lines of comic relief. Maybe I could weild, instead of a sword, something different. Like say, daggers, or a bow. I could even make something up.

I haven't played VII in a decade, Tactics would be too much fun on the big screen again, and I've just never played VIII.

Plus FFVII's planet is called THE PLANET (love the name Enix) while FFX is called Spira.

 

They may take place in the same universe but that's not saying much.

to beat up Evil Jesus Girl

and tidus's father

Thus saving the world

from giant whales....

My favorite music of FF is the updated version of One Winged Angel in Advent Children, and Otherworld from FFX, if you can get past how goofy Tidus looks it can be a fun game.

 

When I was playing FFX I used one of those spheres to move Yuna's grid over to where Auron's was, let me tell you BEST-DECISION-EVER , Yuna wacking people for 9999 damage. =P

Basically. But we can add some of our own twists along the way along with epic character development. Why not try it? You don't need all the info about XIII to do it, just the basis. Wiki some info about the XIII universe and just learn a little bit about each race and their beginning roles.

The fact that Pyreflies make no appearance whatsoever in anything from VII, despite being everywhere in X, the fact that despite the residents of X being very savvy on how their world works (aside from the corruption in Yevon) this theory would require that they somehow have no idea there's a Life Stream or Mako Energy, the fact that the only non-human entities in VII are either experiments, Red XIII, or Jenova, the fact that summons are sealed in Materia in VII and don't play a very large role in the story, while in X the Aeons are very, very important and cannot be wielded by anyone with a damn marble, the fact that Fiends in X are created from the unsent grieving dead, while monsters in VII are just monsters, and I could just go on.

 

They aren't in the same world.

Even though it was just an anniversary game, according to FF Dissida, the FF worlds are in parallel dimensions.

Gilgamesh uses the Void, due to the events of FFV. So yes, he's the same Gilgamesh in every title he appears in.

 

Omega... well, I'm pretty sure there are multiple models of him, since the one in VIII isn't the same one from before, and in X, it was a completely different thing.

 

And yes, Shinryu is the most powerful entity yet to be known in any FF, and it pretty much presides over the time and space of the FF continuum. Also, it does things out of boredom, like allowing Chaos and Cosmos' war to continue near infinitely.
