The Warden
Mind filling me in here? Also, Sinduramon is Kokatorimon's ultimate.
Blackstone Dresden
Off topic: Based on actually watching the most recent episodes of 5D's, I'm reasonably sure that I was mistaken in my previous assumption that the finale would be ZONE vs. Yusei and Bruno. My money is that, after Aporia vs. Jack and the twins, we'll be treated to either Yusei vs. Bruno, Yusei and Bruno vs. Future Bruno, Yusei and Bruno vs. Paradox or, (God willing) Yusei vs. Paradox and Bruno. On topic: The DMA lists Kumbhiramon's Champion as Opossumon, making his Rookie canonically Gatomon. However, I believe that Chuumon would be a better fit since he's A. a mouse like Kumbhiramon and B. comical looking like Opossumon. Any better thoughts? The Warden
Well, Chuumon is a rat that would technically become Sukamon, due to their bond and all. But then again, Armour Evolution has always been incredibly sketchy.
Blackstone Dresden
To be fair, the bond could also mean that, somewhere out there, there's a DNA Digivolution of a Sukamon and a Chuumon. (Again, DMA says he can be a Champion too)
The Warden
It could be Damemon, who knows really?
Blackstone Dresden
Probably. That would be kinda awesome, considering that, upon closer inspection, Damemon's packing heat.
The Warden
I'll say, I dunno what these things he has are, but I assume he either beats things with them or he shoots things with them.
Blackstone Dresden
His tonfa could easily double as laser guns, and his feet look like harpoons. Plus, he has a golden Chuumon bazooka looking thingy on his back.
Nexev
Is it odd to say I want to make a Sukamon tamer? Cause I really do.
Blackstone Dresden
First post of 2011 So, anyone else excited and pissed about Arkadimon being in Xros Wars next week?
The Warden
Yes, yes I am; considerig Wisemon, the pre-stage of yet another Legendary Warrior also makes an appearance.
Blackstone Dresden
Wisemon makes sense since he's just a mon. Arkadimon, however, EATS MEGAS AS A BABY. And people b*tched that Lucemon got nerfed...
The Warden
Xros Wars, where power fantasies go to die.
Blackstone Dresden
But, the fact that Stingmon and Beelzemon can go head to head and it's an even fight ALMOST makes up for it.
The Warden
Not really, normally, just getting hit by his gun would destroy you. The only time proper power levels occured was when Puppetmon OHKO Hagurumon.
Blackstone Dresden
I'm saying that Beelzemon vs. Stingmon was quite possibly the sole upside of the lack of Levels in this series. Or did you miss that episode?
The Warden
The lack of levels is a little frustrating in some cases. Stupid Shoutmon blocking Lucemon's attack. Not even Susanoomon could do that yet that little turd did. Stupid *trails off in mumbles*
Nexev
See this? This is why I dont watch the series. It sounds stupid.
Blackstone Dresden
The way I see it, Frontier Lucemon was THE Lucemon, Demon Lord of Pride, whereas Xros Wars Lucemon is just A Lucemon, hence why he doesn't have Larva Mode.
Merci
Xros Wars. Is bad. ........... Anyway, YCMaker finally made old threads to appear on the My Contents page so now I can get to this place easily without going to main forum, and then to Clubs and Organizations, and then to this thread. It takes a long time that way.
The Warden
I actually prefer not having the Larva Mode, it seems kind of, I dunno, strange that there is this huge hulking best, and the real thing is a creepy angel grub.
Phantom Roxas
I actually like Xros Wars a lot, but I just hated the treatment of Lucemon. I don't mind the lack of levels, since it gives the series the chance for it to be its own thing.
Blackstone Dresden
Larva Mode actually makes sense to me, considering the dichotomy that is Lucemon, half angel, half demon, so he turns into both a full demon and a full fallen angel, showing that while both parts of him are there to stay, he's completely and utterly evil. Though, since Larva Mode's very existence is going against everything angel-type Digimon stand for, of course he's weak and shriveled up while Shadowlord Mode is big, imposing, and monstrous. The Warden
But why should he lose power in order to create a shell? I doubt he would get crushed under the weight of his power, so it seems odd that he would toss it away in order to make something else do the work for him. That's not really prideful is it? Phantom Roxas
It could possibly represent pride that has been lost, as he is driven to becoming a hideous beast, and so he becomes a larva to hide in the Gehenna Sphere in shame. Considering how it's called "Larva Mode", I wanted to know if it had yet another form beyond that. Perhaps a form where it has regained his pride?
