I usually wait until I make good images for cards. But I haven't drawn anything card-related lately so I'm thinking if these pics should stay or not.

Cards are for a fan-fic but I need the balance test here, + wording and all the usual stuff ;)

*Discard 1 card and declare 1 monster name. A monster(s) with that name can declare attacks during the first turn of the Duel.

I'm pretty sure I copy-pasted the code as it was =/ I wonder what could've happened...

 

Javascript thing' date=' shows too much details. Just erase everything between the two ' marks after the .jpg text, and keep the [/img'].

Ok first of all the first card's last effect is pretty cheap since you could just special summon anything good like White Night Dragon or Light and Darkness Dragon and then attack them with it since it does not specify that you cannot conduct your battle phase. The second card is unique but I don't really see the use in it unless they're going to remove or autonomous action unit 1 of your monster. The OCG is not the best and the pictures would look better if you didn't draw and color them on notebook paper/lined college ruled paper since you can see the blue lines on the paper pretty clearly. Overall, they're not too bad; just fix the last effect on the first card, fix your OCG, and next time draw your cards on a blank sheet of white paper not lined paper. 8/10

Thanks for the comment... Light and Darkness Dragon didn't cross my mind xD.. I'll fix that in a second.

 

About the OCG fix, I'm open to see other people's fix. You can post yours if you want. Some effects look a little too tricky for me to re-word myself.

 

EDIT:

 

I fixed the first card. Although I added to the 2nd and 3rd effects "That monster cannot attack this turn." instead of skipping my Battle Phase. I thought if I do the "skipp Battle Phase" option, it would be too slow, but lets hear opinions.

 

EDIT #2:

 

I added another card. And I must also add this message:

The pics suck because of the line paper, I'm countious of that ^-^" just look at them as proxies for now. I want to see about the balance and OCG. and other stuff you want to comment.

- I do believe that "Dimensional" has an "s" instead of a "t". Both Traps should be Normal Traps (Counters are Chain Link 2 or higher, and generally require something to happen). Also you should change the name of the thread. Not sure what to, though...

- I applaud the use of hand-drawn pictures.

- These...are all extremely broken. To make it easier, I've done each card on its own.

Desperate Attack!

With the current speed of the meta, a Turn 1 Battle Phase would be obscene, as FTKs would abound. A guaranteed no-Trap scenario? Sign me up (or not...)

Hey! Free card from your Graveyard to your hand! With the amount of Grave manipulation this meta, this could also be easily abused.

-Dimensional error in the name has been fixed ^-^" and I changed it to mill cards from the Deck instead. I'll still fix the part of the "damage" that I forgot to adjust too.

 

-The Dead Wisdom gets you a free card, but its somewhat random (according to tests, at least half of the time). The use for it is with Question so that your opponent can't guess right 100% of the time. I guess it needs a little something to make it weaker... I'll think of something..

 

-Desperate Attack... I don't know about it ^-^"

As I said before, they are for a fan-fic a friend is making. The first effect of it is the only thing that matters for the card and I actually did it for the sake of OTK.. but you are right xD

What do you recomend? :) I'll be fine without the OTK power.. something like only 1 monster being able to attack instead.

The other effects are just so this doesn't become a dead draw after turn 1.

Is that not really the same as "Special Summon any card from your hand"?

And as they are not allowed to attack, it does not seem as a "Desperate Attack" either...

 

I really like the Copycat Guardian of the Underworld. Effect is really good.

I would personally run Dimension Transportation in my deck, as I play D.D.

Actually, I'm preparing the real pics. Which are still hand-drawn but at least won't be 5cm drawings in lined paper made 1+ years ago. ^-^"

I needed to put the pic that fits the most out of what I had in my computer so that this wouldn't end up in Written Cards ~sorry~:D

Actually, Effects 2 and 3 of Desperate Attack are different. You either Special Summon a Level 4 or lower monster OR the other effect, which is not a Special Summon but your allowed Normal Summon for the turn.

Its name actually comes from the first effect, and well.... the monsters could attack before. Effects 2 & 3 don't let them attack anymore for balance issues but it can get you the offensive in the duel ;) (let's go with that lol xD )

 

It took me a while to think about what would be good for the Trap Monster. I wanted a shield but didn't want a 3000 DEF monster. So I thought about a mirror-like effect for DEF. Its weird but works a lot better than I expected and has prevented Brain Controls and Enemy Controls in the tests.

 

@Everyone:

I'm making a Deck out of the cards but for now I'm posting them separately so that people can comment on all of them without having to see 40+ cards at a time and feel lazy about commenting. When I complete it, it will be an interesting Deck. It has all different categories (Spells, Traps, Normal Monsters, Effect Monsters, Rituals, Fusions, Synchros, Tokens). The monsters cover all 22 monster Types (Divine Beast is there too but I made it a 100 ATK vanilla so, its not a nooby card, it actually has support). It also covers all Spell & Trap Icons. The cards work pretty well with each other and most of them are splashable effects). :D

I'm working on the pics for the fan-fic version. I just picked random drawings so that I would be able to post the cards. When I post them here' date=' its the best way to balance them. My brother used to help me with the balance part but he's un-willing to do it anymore. so yup ^-^

I desperately needed the previews and opinions but I'm making the real pics of these cards. Actually, I like the Trap Monster drawing and also the Dead Wisdom one, they will stay as they are.

I guess the Monster Trap is the best out of those. I personally like it more.

 

3 of the pics (the ones in lined paper) are actually about 4 times smaller in real life than what they appear in the card image of the screen. I'll be re-making them ;)

Requiring something to happen yes. But I just remembered that Negate Attack and Drastic Drop-off aren't chain link 2 or higher (DDO not nessesarily, Negate Attack never|).

I'll leave the requirements I posted anyways... why didn't I remember about those traps before xD ?
