And to add to this Pre-Realistic section the Realistic rules fused with AoC rules. Just to make sure that it would be accpeted in Realistic cards.

 

Now in realistic cards there is a stickied thread regarding Vanillas, I think AoC needs one of these too. Not Necessarily Vanillas but a guide on how to make new cards, it would be an answered prayer to all those noobs out there.

AoC is still seen' date=' even by members in this topic as a place that member and joke cards are placed, they and others, dont even realise this section could produce so much more.

 

Cards often with not so good OCG / images are posted here, cards that need help, this section could offer just that.

 

Card help threads, OCG threads, image posting threads, could all be posted here as they are still to do with cards, it would give it a more general feel, and if the help is in this section, it will recieve more visitors.

 

Community projects could also be set up here, such as a Master Collection etc.etc.

Too often are we seeing members attack and abuse other members for card errors in R-Cards, if we have this as a Pre-section, members who are unsure of card errors can post their cards here first, get them corrected, then post the corrected versions in R-Cards, it would stop abuse in R-Cards & Leave space for proper reviews, also it would give this section more of a boost and draw more people in here, especially those that like to help.[/b]

This part I 100% agree with. The feeling of knowing that you can post a card here with no worries of backlash would be a Godsend. Also listing the Various Guides and stuff would be great for members who are just starting to get better at Card Making to touch up their skills. I'm sure we have 100'sof members that have loads of potential but are afraid to face RC.

Agreed, I'm not exactly afraid of realistic cards but sometimes I'm nervous with a card I don't know how to word the OCG.

 

 

 

You could try wording it so it makes sense, it doesn't necessarily have to follow the correct OCG as long as it makes sense.

 

Maybe try to define more of what is realistic and what belongs it AoC section?

 

Sometimes to people it can get confusing.

Ypu mean a Starter Guide? Well the OCG thread would be a good place to start with but perhaps some people need to know the Basics like "What are Stars?" or "Whats ATK & DEF?"

But what of the other kinds of cards?

 

What do you mean by "other kinds of cards"? Fake types, Joke cards, Pre Real cards?

I don't think it would work, because the only Card Maker war I have seen is your, so I don't really think is need a section for that. Well, I support the creation of a Member Card Sub-Section, because it would move, lets see, almost, 1/4 of AoC threads to that section. But, some members who post here don't know how to post cards, it might be only their first post, I think creating a Thread that helps the newbies of this section, explaining basic things, such as posting cards, probably will reduce the number of Attachements.

Much better to discuss it here. My first suggestion would be to bring the Joke Card Topic back. Bloodrun made a mistake moving it as it helped to reduce the clutter cause by 9999 cards etc.

 

Another suggestion would be to make this the "Home Base" If we feel satisfied that the card is worthy of a place in Realistic we could easily move it there. To me AoC would be a much more relaxing section that allows the members to explore new ideas without the threat of being ripped apart in Realistic.

 

I made no such mistake. That thread would have brought so much spam and useless post count into these forums, that it was sickening.

 

It killed two birds with one stone. Spam, gone, bad cards, gone.

 

Your telling me that clicking the little check box on the right side of a thread and then scrolling down the page and clicking delete thread, is just a god damn hard task?

 

Maybe you shouldn't be a Custom Cards Moderator then.

 

Mistake my ass, your willing to make a thread where they post a card to see if its "worthy" to be made as an actual thread, and then move it into a thread if it does fit the "worthyness"? This site is riddled with hypocrisy, and people who think they are gods among men. Do your jobs, stop complaining, and for gods sake come up with suggestions that actually help this forum, not tear it apart in the end.

 

Yes, attachments are a pain in the ass. If your going to make a rule about them, then enforce it without complaining how much work it is. Stand up for you have written, and take into account the actions you do that are not written down. Be prepared to accept any punishment that will arise, good or bad. And last but not least, Rules are here to make sure things go according to plan. Not to cast cruel and unusual punishment on to those whom you see fit, and ignore those whom you don't.

Yes but sets that are finished should still be put somewhere where other people can go and learn from them. Not everyone makes cards that are horrible and need constant help. A set that isn't Pop Culture or Realistic, but is really good, should be saved within a finished set section.

I had my chance? Let me tell you something J-Max, I did more grunt work while I was a moderator for Custom Cards then you ever had. Granted you had your little Pokevolution crap, thats just for public appearance.

 

When discussing the option of allowing Joke Cards, everyone was at their wits-end due to all the constant posting of spammy cards. So, I stepped up and made that thread, and then moved it when I realized it was become just like the "Post A Picture of the Real You - Post Count Discussion - Leaving/Returning" Threads, people were using it for post count increase.

AoC its the out cast forum that all you CC Mods throw everything into, and now your like the ecologists, "Oh my were destroying the earth, I guess we should've have dumped toxic waste in woods and stuffsss".

You guys go through rules like it was toilet paper, then expect someone to wipe your ass with their hand when you run out. Make solid rules, and stick to them, you do to much flippy floppy crap. Each forum should have a strict guideline as to which cards are allowed to be posted and which are not.

 

Then, you actually do the work. Not say "follow the rules, lockeded".

You understand me? This Moderation team has been blown into little factions, get your acts straight, work as a team, do the work, stop complaining. Joke Cards, are just that Joke Cards. It is a game, how the hell can you not see the logic behind that? It is staring you right in the god damn face.

He did do quite a bit thank you. It's just unfortunate his own life problems prevented proper internet access until a week ago or so.

Rules like toilet paper? The rules haven't changed in MONTHS. Now that the CC Mods are back, we are discussing it like co-mods should. Or are you so pent up in whatever delusional state you've got going on that you can't see that? Of course we're gonna have a little flux during this transition period, but it is a likely event. WE ALL HAVE TO RIDE IT. The mods as well as members.

 

Ooh and "strict" rules? Of course we have rules that cannot be broken, but there are also rules that cannot be expected to be upheld but can be managed. Such as minimodding and the like. Excuse us for trying to work with both mod and members.

WHEN THE HELL HAVE WE BEEN COMPLAINING? Me, J-Max, Hunter, Raver and though rarely C-2 have been getting along just fine. We open threads so none of our mod styles clash, members can get involved and none of us gets all this pent up crap. So again, excuse us for finding a way to get along.

 

Sure it'll take longer, but at least everyone gets something out of it.

No one should take kindly to idle threats. Not me, not you and not everyone else. So whatever this is, this thread is not the place to vent your stuff. Take it off the board. Any posts you make that do such a thing will be edited and sent to you via PM, so you may record. The remainder of your post that relates to any on-hand topic inside this thread or any other you create that lacks malicious intent will remain.
