I think this card is very bad because you must discard a card. That gives you less cards to play with.

You do realize it lets you draw 2 more cards after, right? That basically leaves you with the same amount of cards to play with and it thins your deck. This card and similar cards are actually very helpful.

But why would you play with Malicious or Plasma anyway, Plasma needs 3 monsters to summon, and Malicious has only 800 attack and defense. It summons another but who cares? It's got bad stats.

 

The only good D-Hero is defender because it can protect you the whole game.

it used malicious to get an easy level 8 synchro after combing it with E. teleport.

 

and then did it again since back then you could run 3 of them.

 

malicious is a monster tribute engine all by itself.
