I've read the entire series and I've been hoping for a movie ever since but.... Percy is only 12 in the books he looks like he's 16 in the movie>.>. Wich messes up the whole point of most of the series.

P.S. Did anyone see the DS game? It's total Fail XD

As with all adaptations' date=' things are subject to change. I've never read the story, so I don't know the significance of age in it, but it's a lot easier to market a 16-year-old than a 12-year-old.

Unless your name is Harry Potter, of course.

There is a prophecy established in the second book about how a child of the Big Three will have to make a choice when they are sixteen, and Percy isn't sixteen until the last book.

Meh, change it to 18 and all the problems are solved. It makes more sense in a modern context as well since 18 is considered the age where you enter into adulthood.

Except there's five books. He'd have to be 21 in the final movie, and 21 is when you can legally drink.

16-12= 4

There's five books, but 20 is good enough.
