Reprinted in BOTH card games? AWESOME!!

Pokemon now allows a weakened Bill to be run in 8s.

They turned Bill into a "Supporter" instead of a "Trainer" card to make it less abusable? I haven't played been in the Pokemon TCG scene since Gym Leaders 2 set, so have all "Trainer" cards considered "Support" cards usable only once a turn now or something?

In any case, Pot of Greed... what's there to talk about when a card's effect is simply "Draw 2 cards." There's no reason not to use it if it weren't forbidden... its lets you draw 2 cards, giving you a +1 for no cost to you... uh i guess that's it.

Should it be unbanned? No, probably not. I'm sure Exodia and FTK decks don't need any more help.

Prof. Oak was friggin epic. Good thing we've got Uxie to replace him now.

Also; POG is the shiz. Bannable? Probably.

Uxie's nowhere near as good as Oak. Otherwise, Feraligatr Prime would be even better than it currently is, and it would truly be the return of LBS.

Anyways, yeah. Isn't it rather sad when drawpower like this are some of the most mediocre legal drawpower cards available in PKMN ATM? Even then, said mediocre draw is bannable here in YGO.

lol two supporter cards that are Draw 2 cards... in Pokemon TCG if i remember correctly, you can have 4 cards of the same type per deck right? >_> so in Pokemon, they have 8 cards total that let them Draw cards (and there's also the broken Professor Oak card lol).

I guess since they limited it to once per turn its more OK for it? Even then, that wouldn't slide in Yugioh if Pot of Greed said "Draw 2 cards. You can only activate "Pot of Greed" once per turn." and would still be banned. I wonder, what if it said "You cannot draw any cards until your next Draw Phase" (though would still be a +1) or "Until the End Phase of your next turn" (turning PoG into a +0 then since you'd miss that draw phase). Would people still use it then if it became a +0?

Pokemon needs Draw Power to function well, whereas Yugioh would get destroyed with so many Draw Power. If we got Mom's Kindness, Bill, Prof. Oak, Uxie, Poké Drawer + and Claydoll in Yugioh, Exodia would be meta.

Oak is banned in PKMN, as it's been rotated out.

Furthermore, the cards in the first post are the most mediocre drawpower cards that are currently legal.

Ah i see. I last played when i was younger lol when Gym Leaders were out' date=' so before high school so when i was 13... 10 years ago? o.O

If they made Pokemon TCGs for the DS/PSP like the Yugioh ones, i'd play them. All I have access to are the two GBC ones.

Duah

Once again, not into the Pokemon TCG setting for 10 years. What i meant to really say to that is "Are all 'Trainer' cards of olde now considered Support cards usable once per turn, or are there still normal "Trainer" cards around?" Didn't mean for that to be so durr.

Pokemon's resource managing system is different from Yu-Gi-Oh's.

Add to it' date=' Pokemon need Energies to attack.

Pokemon doesnt have an Exodia, and they hardly have [i']any[/i] cards that are dependant on the # of cards a player holds.

Fun-Fact: The minimum deck size in Pokemon is 60

I thought that was also the maximum deck size. (As in, all decks must run 60. No exceptions.)

Then again, I haven't played in years so like... yeah.

but we can't look at poke-mon the same way as yu-gi-oh' date=' card advantage isn't quite as important as far as I can tell, it's more on getting the right card than having more.

Claydol is what makes everyone not care, as they can just reset their hand to 6 each turn. :/

Also, having more cards nowadays will just make you fall prey to the newly-reprinted Copycat, so yeah...

I wasn't making a connection. I was trying to start a discussion on Pot of Greed, then it turned into this. >____>
