Tribute 1 DARK monster with 2500 or more ATK, and choose Spell Cards or Trap Cards. Check all Spell and Trap Cards on your opponent's side of the field, your opponent's hand and all cards they draw (until the end of your opponent's 3rd turn after this card's activation), and destroy all cards of the chosen type.

Once per turn, during your Standby Phase, you can shuffle 1 card from your hand into the Deck, then draw 1 card.

I would like to discuss these cards.

I find Card Trader to be more or a luck of the draw than many other cards. It actually saved me when I had one card in my deck left and no way to win the the card I would have gotten.

Don't tell me activating a continuous spell/trap counts as -1....

If not' date=' -1 for putting a card away, then +1 for drawing a card.

Now, with Heart of the Underdog and Solemn Wishies in a Vanilla deck, you could probably end with a +3 and 2500 more life points.

No you couldn't. It draws in the Standby Phase and HotUD only works in the Draw Phase.

On another note, you can tech Card Trader into things running Volcanic Shell. Return Shell, then pay 500 to get it back again for an amusing but bad draw engine.

it isnt. its slow.

the better version is my infinite hand advantage engine in my flip trolls.

shell + thunder dragon + poa

then spend it on hand dest, card dest, dwd, mse, and sometimes mallet.

of course that requires a very specific deck, and i doubt it would work as well as it does outside of flip trolls. morphing jar is a key component in maintaining advantage, afterall.

and yes, it's a -1. playing a continuous st counts as a -1. technically in overall advantage it's a +0, as you still control+hold the same number of cards. however, for all intensive purposes, it is a -1.

The phrase is "all intents and purposes".

From a site of examples of "common errors in English usage". I mean... not trying to be a pedantic ass or anything... but it just bugs me. >_>

On-topic:

Card Trader - Fun with shell. One should note that the previous sentence says "fun", not "good".

Eradicator epidemic Virus - Fun in Hopeless Dragon. Which is apparently worse then the terrible version of Hopeless Dragon, Disaster Dragon or something? IDK.
