Basically what you're saying is that the opponent can't attack your Life Points unless they have a monster that can attack directly. (Attacking other monsters you control or Life Damaging Spells aside) not to mention you can basically buy as much time as you want if the opponent doesn't have a strong enough monster to deal with Gyarados, then he won't destroy Magikarp...you get the idea. :|

But there's so much generic destruction these days.

A lot more ways to stop them other than the regular destroyed by battle cards.

 

If you take Glads for example, you could have two on the field, one runs over Magikarp, then tags out for Bestiari and contacts Gyzarus.

You could also run over it with Shura, get Vayu out and sync for Catastor.

You could always Book it as well.

 

The card's strategy is pressuring your opponent into letting you get a bigger monster out, with the cost of the battle damage you just took, Which would usually put you at a 1500+ difference.

 

EDIT: Fixed Gyarados a bit.
