Where are my COOKIES
WHo here plays assault modes? I play Red Dragon Archfiend Assault Mode in my deck. discuss the assault modes.
darkwolf777
Only one i've tried using is Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode. An ability to negate any effect and come back each turn to do it again is no small thing. The other AMs i haven't really bothered to try.
Where are my COOKIES
Assault mode stardust has the same effect as the actual stardust i think. when Red dragon assault mode deals damage, destroy all monsters on the field. Still, I think there's a flaw in Stardust assault's effect. It says when it's destroyed, special summon stardust dragon. But then you get it back at your End Phase. So then you have Normal and Assault stardusts.

While the original Stardust Dragon can only negate card effects that destroy cards on the field, the Assault Mode version can negate ANY card effect (that can be chained to anyway). NightGuardian1764
I play Doomkaiserdragon/Assault Mode in my DeckThat card is the best! when it is Summoned, it can Special Summoned as many Zombie-Type monsters from EITHER PLAYER'S graveyard! So I play Zombie World turning all monster on the field and in Graveyard to become Zombies, that can create a OTK! Moreover, when it is destroyed, it can Special Summoned Doomkaiserdragon from the Graveyard, Of Course, When Doomkaiserdragon is Special Summoned, it can Special Summon a Zombie-Type monster from either player's Graveyard. Stardust /AM is better because being able to negate anything and being a beatstick is just amazing. Too bad drawing an /AM is the worst dead draw there is. Master Hyperion
Doomkaiser and Stardust are without a doubt the best of the Assault Mode archtype. Arcanite is meh, while the rest is just ungodly bad. I play Doomkaiserdragon/Assault Mode in my Deck <
Dr. Cakey
If you have the right situation, Arcanite/Assault is epic. That situation, of course, is having Citadel with a bunch of counters on it, in which case you could just have kept Arcanite and not bothered with the /Assault Mode bit. Colossal Fighter/Assault is epic, but he has no staying power. RDA/Assault...works with Ojama Trio/Nightmare Archfiends? Doomkaiser is impressive in a Zombie Deck, but I kind of feel all the space required to include Assault Mode support could remove too much necessary Zombie support. In conclusion, we need MOAR Assault Modes!!

Expelsword
I can definitively say Stardust/Assault is great, you're almost unstoppable if you can have both SD and SD/AM out at once
