Will Konami new Yugioh cards overpower the old ones?

We all seen what happened to the normal monsters. They are just dead cards. Completely dead.

We seen what happened to the fusion cards too when Synchro's came in.

What is next? Dark Synchro replace effect monsters?

Say they added a new style of yugioh cards, like how they added synchro monsters and every goes after them because they are easier and better to summon. Got to watch out for those Dark Synchro balance, I already read 1 of them and it's just too OP(their effect). It might seem hard to summon, but anything could happen like cards that special summons a dark synchro from your extra deck like monster reborn.

Dark tuner

http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Dark_Tuner_-_Black_Goddess_Witaka

A small list

http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_Dark_Synchro_Monsters

Dark Synchro

http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Dark_Diviner

Effect: 1 non-Tuner monster - 1 Dark Tuner monster

In order to Special Summon this card, subtract the Level of a Dark Tuner monster from the Level of 1 other monster you control; the value must equal the Level of this card.

This monster cannot be destroyed by battle. If this card attacks an opponent's monster with a higher ATK, send 1 card from the top of your opponent's Deck to the Graveyard equal to the difference between this card's original ATK and the attack target's ATK / 100. Then the ATK of the attack target becomes equal to this card's ATK until the end of the Battle Phase.

There goes Needle Worm. :D

they aren't making dark synchros, they are being converted into normal synchs and having their effects adjusted to be closer to "fair".

but with the whole power creep thing, I think they just got past that phase, and while the power level of the cards in general are staying about the same, they are now trying to think more about "out of left field" effects, which aren't power based so much right now, I'd classify them more as supportive and protective.

perfect for prolonging duels against what was once unstoppable to get what you need.

Na, just been swamped with work. What about you? Did you finish your hero deck? I think that was the last deck you used to play me with.

...wut?

1) Back in the old days, there still weren't many useful vanillas. Blue Eyes White Dragon and Summoned Skull were probably the only useful ones (Summoned Skull more so) and 2000 Defensive walls. The next most used ones were the 4 stared beatsticks when they weren't common, especially the ones that were over 1800 attack, such as Mechanicalchaser, Gemini Elf and Luster Dragon. Nowadays, sure they aren't useful and probably wont be ever again as usually effects outweigh raw stats with no effects. Sure they have a bunch of support now, such as Justi-Break, but with Gemini monsters, who not only can be considered Normal Monsters and later be considered Effect Monsters, it stomps on the already crushed life of the vanillas, imo. I myself was able to use Fortune Fairy Ann in Tag Force 4 (a level 5 dark 0 ATK/0 DEF monster, due to all the special summoning support it had and was good for synchro summoning, but then I turned it into a Byser Synchro instead, sacrificing Special Summoning ability for its bouncing effect xD).

2) Many fusion and ritual cards weren't useful before or after Synchros came out because there still weren't many useful cards of either type. They use too many cards to bring out There are still very few fusion monsters worth bringing out (such as Absolute Zero) and very few ritual monsters worth bringing out (such as Demise, Relinquished and Northwemko) I wouldn't blame Synchros for the reason either of those monsters are used less.

This topic is so pro <3

UR MOM IS COMPLETLY DEAD! >:U

...Srsly' date=' Normals are epic.

All Dark Synchros are altered to become normal Synchros that require a DARK tuner, and they are always nerfed from the anime version.

TOPIC HIJACK!

This topic is now about Dark Flat Top

Once per turn' date=' you can Special Summon 1 "Flying Fortress SKY FIRE" from your Graveyard, ignoring the summoning conditions.[/quote']

Discuss possible nerfed/balanced versions of Flat Top's effect, while still allowing it to Special Summon any level 8 Machine from your Graveyard.

Look,Konami isn't going to jump to making overpowered cards, they know as much as the next guy that if they make a monster like :

"When you Summon this card destroy all cards on the Field"

the Yu-Gi-Oh players around the world will like more cards like that.Players will just play cards ilike that and they will do no Special Combos and the hole game is about combos. And about Normal Monsters, they might not be the most powerfull Monsters in the game but they are equaly powerfull to effect Monsters.I'm not saying more powerfulf but still powerfull. If you give me time i can tell you at least a 100 decks that concetrate on Normal Monsters.

Burnpsy

Yes i admit there are cards like that, but they all require a cost.Judgment needs 4 different Lightsworns in the Grave and 1000 Life Points.Black Rose needs a Tuner and several other cards,it's tough to summon Black Rose in certain decks.I meant cards like without cost, although for some reason i think that Majestic Star Dragon is a little overpowered with the negation effect and several other effects.

Name 5 GOOD decks that focus on Vanillas, right now.

A 1000 lifepoint cost is NOTHING. And it's extremely easy to get the required amount of Lightsworns in the grave. Black Rose Dragon is easy to summon in any deck that can synchro. And Majestic Star Dragon, well, it's just not good.

Ok sorry i admit vanilas aren't as powerful as effect Monster and JD doesn't require a big cost, actually i play Lightsworn,i play JD,and you can't say that vanilas don't have good pictures. And don't think i am unknown with the game,i have been playing the game for 4 and a half years.

You've obviously never played in high ranked tournaments or faced a good meta player. Vanillas are good, because of all their support, but nowhere near as good as the majority of effect monsters.
