Power Capsule

Recommended Posts

This card could have been a LOT better if it would also work with Jade Knight, FalchionB and Lord British Space Fighter. I mean those three other ships can use Power Capsules in the games too, not just Vic Viper.

Jade Knight: You'll be able to search for a level four Light machine type monster by using Power Capsule on Jade Knight without having to make it get destroyed by battle.

FalchionB: If Power Capsule would work on FalchionB, it will be like a Monster Reborn or a Foolish Burial for Gradius because FalchionB can bring back a Light machine type monster with 1200 attack or less.

Lord British Space Fighter: You know it's effect. You'll destroy one set card, special summon a Option Token or attack than ones.

If the card was like that, will it be broken?

The reason why this card is not in my main deck is because it can be a dead draw at times and only works on Victory Viper XX03. But I know Power Capsule was probably made before those other ships.

We just need a Blue Power Capsule card now. "Activate while you control 2 Level 4 Light Machine Type Tokens. Destroy all cards your opponent your opponent controls". I could see the OTKs coming~... maybe throw in "and 1 non-token level 4 Light Machine Type monster" to make the other cards of that type.

I believe cards would be stronger if they had more options instead of fewer. Brilliant!

You mean make the Power Capsule give the ships an effect that is not written in their text? Jade Knight: Special Summon one Jade Knight Option Token (Machine-Type/Light/Level 4/ATK 1000/DEF 1800) When your opponent activates a spell card, you can tribute this token to negate the spell card and destroy it.

I have one i've made alongside Power Tool Dragon to help bring out equips for powered Victory Vipers and tokens, but I never have gotten to use it against people. I don't go on adhoc party looking for games too often.

I would assume anything that's not t1 is "for fun" but the only decks I make are for fun x.o to see if its possible to bring out potential in other underused stuff.

My attempts to make a usable Fire Princess burn has continued to fail time and time again xD

Yar, my first Fire Princess Burn was actually with real cards around the Labyrinth of Nightmare set x.o The only repeatable LP recovery cards I remember having were Solemn Wishes and Marie the Fallen one. I think the only cards I owned that I could protect myself with was Waboku and Gravity Bind (i don't believe Gravity Bind was restricted at the time).

Classic Yugiohs, good times.

This sounds an awful lot like short circuit to me. :D

No, if power capsule worked for all of them it would not be broken. None of those effects are particularly game-changing. I mean, what can you do big with that? Unless I'm missing some broke combo...

Well yes, it sounds like Short Circuit because it was based on all those cards that require 3 monsters. Short Circuit, Des Croaking, Huge Revolution, etc.

The Blue Power Capsules destroyed all enemies on the screen, which is why its effect would be something like that. Short Circuit works for all Batterymen, you saying its as broken with that? lol They can just Inferno Reckless Summon. Same with Des Croaking and Dupe Frog. Both decks usually have easy ways to Special Summon them in order to Inferno Reckless Summon. Would be much harder here since you can't do it that easily and would have to work up the Tokens first.

As for the original Power Capsule here, of course if it could do more, it'd be much more useful, or if it just wasn't specific to just Vic Viper. Oh well, not much you can do.

Now that I think about it, if a card you control's name would somehow become "Victory Viper XX03", could you use this to activate an effect that's printed on that card? Not that I know of any ways to do this on just any monster though.

Just curious' date=' do gradius decks actually work, or do people just use them for fun?

[/quote']

A Gradius deck was in the topped 16 in the last SJC and probably put up a good fight against Lightsworn and the meta.

I think it was more of a general "LIGHT Machine" Deck than Gradius. Besides, the deck was really more about blowing up the field with Cyber Eltanin. That said, it did to reasonably well. It may have been the last Not Lightsworn/Zombie deck to survive.

I could have sworn when I was reading Konami's blog on the tournament he played Cyber Eltanin like every duel...was it someone else? Or am I just going insane?
