I think Vicious Claw has that clause so it doesn't invoke an easy field purge/burn thing going. You can suicide a Vicious-Clawed monster, nuke one other monster on the field and deal 600, then return it to your hand and reactivate it otherwise, preserving another monster from destruction and could possibly be keeping it safe from the Evil Token assuming you're not running Remove Brainwashing. But Claw also stops you from using it for discards/etc for the turn.

 

Banning an 1800 warrior that can't use equips? Lol...no. Ban the equip that abuses that effect and has no other useful purpose in the game aside from either sucky Guardian Elma or such loops? Please do. The nice thing about banning the Dagger is that NO ONE IS SUPPOSED TO CARE. It's not a pointless ban, just one that doesn't piss people off. Gearfriend may not see any play, but compared to the Dagger, it's a better card to have around.

Gearfried has synergy with cards like Blast With Chain and Smoke Grenade of the Thief' date=' and counters various opposing cards like Mark of the Rose. Elma is just terrible. Thus, Gearfried helps the game more, so we save him.

My thoughts exactly.

 

But imagine, Double Summon > Gearfried > Library > Elma's Dagger = Exodia.

 

That and Marionette are two of the main reasons this is at 0.

Gearfried is harmless.

The Butterfly Dagger was the problem and will always BE the problem.

 

that's debatable, but I do agree with you, elma creates more problems than the iron knight.

the iron knight actually makes a deck great idea, elma can only be abused.

Either deal with it. OR Play Traditional Format and Kick ass with Elma OTK Loop :d

imperial order whould makes it so the effects never trigger, since they must die to deal damage.

It works even better With Phoenix Gearfried!!

 

And tower of babel is useful for cards like inferno Tempest making your opponent choose between the lesser of 2 evils. 3000 to their lifepoints...or their entire deck

 

Inferno Tempest can only respond to taking 3000 or more battle damage, not effect damage.

Use it with PMD or Rainbow life and u get Plus 3000 points...Or I smell a very convulted Brain Research OTK going on.

 

This(w/ 3 spell counters)

Brain Research with like 10

 

Rainbow Life Set as back up

And Barrel Behind the Door set.

 

Activate Heavy Storm then Both Brain Research and Babel activate and BAM activate Barrel and WHAM they take 13000...in case they Dark Bribe your barrel, activate Rainbow Life and gain 13000

So many things wrong with what you just said :D

 

1) If Heavy Storm would destroy Tower of Babel, then Tower of Babel will not activate and destroy itself, even if Heavy Storm were to put the 4th Spell Counter on Tower of Babel as Heavy Storm would destroy it before Tower of Babel could destroy itself.

 

2) Tower of Babel is a Continuous Effect and does not start a chain when it received the 4th Spell Counter. You would not be able to chain Barrel Behind the Door or Rainbow Life to it receiving a 4th Spell Counter

 

3) Rulings state Brain Research Lab doesn't start a chain for either of its effects. You would not be able to chain Barrel behind the Door or Rainbow Life to it.

 

4) Barrel Behind the Door can only reflect the damage on the effect its chained to. Even if it could reflect either of these effects, it would only reflect the one it was chained to, not both of them.

 

5) If they Dark Bribe your Barrel Behind the Door, you would not be able to chain Rainbow Life to it, because it is Spell Speed 2, and Dark Bribe is Spell Speed 3.

 

To play it safe, you'd have to activate Rainbow Life before you Heavy Storm'd and before you triggered Tower of Babel. Barrel Behind the Door wouldn't be able to reflect either of these effects.
