Eibon1307
IT's been a couple years since I have dueled. I just got back into it and decided to look up the Official rules list and just learned of all the forbidden cards and so on. Does this make anyone else angry or is it just me??? Some of the best cards in the game are Forbidden. I understnad not wanting to have matches end in one turn but what the heck. check the new list out and tell me how you feel. http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Forbidden
Rose
The reason why there banned is because they are broken.Btw, the new list has been out for a month...*Needs a old news is so exiting pic*
Sephiroth_The_Legend
old news is old. Banned cards are banned for 1 reason. They're too powerful and unfair. Thus, they can't be used.
-Griffin
Guys, PoG, Painful Choice and Graceful Charity should all clearly be @3. The game clearly wouldn't become a lucksack FTK/OTK meta.
burnpsy
So, everyone's done humoring him? Yeah, broken stuff is banned. Deal with it.
Aesirson
B& stuff is on the Banlist because it's either broken or because Konami said so.
RyanAtlus
In a world where everything's played to be broken,I just want you to know it gets banned.[/silly music reference] Sorry for saying this, TC, but if you disaggree with the reasoning behind the existance of a banlist, Stein should "sonic sez" you... Eibon1307
Hmmm. Glad to see most people just roll over and die. The point of the game is strategy and adaptation. Sure you can play in Traditional Format, but they dont allow it in National and World Wide Championship Tourneys. It's not really fair. and Broken? WTF... I perfer the older sets to the new sets. Gemini cards are OPed and not banned. The official reason for it is that any card with a ATK of 4000 with no drawbacks is to OPed. Any card that does things to easy with no draw backs are OPed. I've seen some Gemini Decks that are OTK/FTKs. I also stated that I HAVNT DUELED IN TWO OR SO YEARS!!!!!! I dont understand the newest rules and so on. So calm down and pull the stick out. I think it's been up there too long. It might be old to you people, BUT IT'S NEW TO ME!!! Thanks.
LuffyLaxer
Gemini's aren't really that broken. They can be, but the are not. None of the Gemini monsters have even been semi-limited. Banned cards are fun in trad. I'll admit, Pot of Greed I liked, but hey the cards needed to be banned. No more consistent FTK's people hated that. That is why these cards are banned. To keep the game going at a rate that more newer people would play.
GenzoTheHarpist
Wow you lost all credibility when you said geminis were broken actually they are mediocre to horrible most of them.

I agree that some cards ruin the game early. I just think it's unfair that some of the cards are on there. Tribe-Infecting Virus is one of these cases. The effect is that when it's summoned you choose one type and it can no longer be summoned. That's fair. Jinzo destroys trap cards, and there is a card that makes it to where your opponent can no longer use magic cards. (It's a trap card. and used with most Jinzo stopper decks.) They arent forbidden. but this one card is. There are others like Pot of Greed, Morphing Jar, and others like that that are quite harmless that I think shouldn't be banned. Semi-limited or limited maybe, but banned? Come on.Wow you lost all credibility when you said geminis were broken actually they are mediocre to horrible most of them. I dont respect Gemini. I don't like them. You can Normal summon most of them without needing a tribute either time you summon them. They also allow for multiple summons with effects that can then be tributed to summon even larger monsters with no drawbacks. How fair is that. in three turns someone can summon a bigger monster like Blue-eyes White Dragon and rule the dule in the next three turns. that isn't fair is it? Sephiroth_The_Legend
Pot of Greed? Harmless....umm....yeah no.that pretty much suggests that players run 38card decks.and Imperial Order is the card your thinking of.Morphing Jar isnt banned. Eibon1307
Official rules state you cannot have a deck under 40 cards. any official tournament makes down how many cards you have, what they are, and so on. So no, Pot of Greed is harmless. And thank you for that. I couldn't remember.
Rose
Pot of greed is a instant +1 (I think) that can be used in any deck...How is it harmless?
Sephiroth_The_Legend
im saying that running at pot of greed in a 40 card deck officially makes it like a 38 card deck because pot of greed doesnt really count. seeing as its a no cost +1 that can be thrown into ANY deck. thats why its far from harmless

Thanks.[/quote'] the list was introduced very slowly.being to be faced with the ban list and still being able to make a great deck is a sign of your skill.if a lot of the cards weren't banned or limited, the game would be too easy, and take absolutely no skill.they want you to use strategy when building your deck...and with no restrictions there is no strategy.Gemini's aren't really that broken. Flame Dragon
This has to be an April Fools joke, but I'll play along. The simplest reason to give for a card getting banned is they generate an unfair amount of advantage to the user. Every card on the ban list is their for good reason and if you can't figure it out I'm sure some one with the time will explain.
