Manjoume Thunder
VS Both are useful FLIP monsters that recruit others and both are used in Monarch and Synchro decks, but who is better? I ran Hamster at the beginning of the format (mostly due to his name and pic) but right now I think that GKSpy is superior. 1. It is faster. When you flip it, you get a face-up monster that is ready for Synchroing. Hamster needs to be attacked in order to do the same thing, 2. It's a spellcaster that summons spellcasters. Arcanite anyone? 3. It's DARK. Allure, DED, DAD, etc ... 4. 2000 DEF. That means that he can't be ran over by a Firedawg unlike his fluffy friend. So, which one do you prefer? .Nu-13
I prefer Hamster in beasts, but GK Spy is more splashable.
Kyosuke Kiryu
Anyone with half a brain would choose Spy over Hamster. It just does the job better.
werewolfjedi
gravekeeper's decendant. simple as that.
Manjoume Thunder
gravekeeper's decendant. simple as that. Hamster can get Ryko, whose destruction effect is a +1 (not +0) and who fuels the grave. It's not that simple.
Toffee.
IMO, Hamster is better. As its super and mega at the same time.

Canadian
GK searches itself. The only problem is you are forced to SS a card when he is flipped rather than just saying "no". I like having that option, lolz.

TheTurtleOnceCalledGod
I would use the hamster just because it is pretty much Sonic+Flash+Killer Hamster on Caffeine. And you can search for a tuner with it (airbellum says hi)

If gravekeeper's get a good tuner monster than can be searched out by spy, than they'd win hands down.
Dark_Armed_Zombie
GKSpy is more splashable and does the job better in most cases. Hamster searches Ryko w/ effect. I vote GK Spy

Mister Sir
In this case as it is in a lot of cases in deciding which of 2 similar cards is superior, you can decide not only by looking at the benefits of the monster's stats but the targets it can bring out. Spy, in this sense, is superior due to it's ability to grab Descendant, Guard, another Spy(which you can't say for Hamster), and Assailant(which is amazing in Necrovalley builds). Hamster's only worthwhile target thus far has been Ryko. Although it's cheap 1-for-1 destruction, that's all. By stats, types, and attributes Gravekeeper's Spy is superior. In addition, the targets for it's effect(Cheap generic destruction, free bounce card on it's own with formidable defense, defensive wall, and a Battle Phase controller) are much easier to utilize than Hamster's small selection of targets. Gravekeeper's Spy, being a DARK Spellcaster with 2000 DEF and an essentially toolbox-inducing effect, is far superior.
Sephiroth_The_Legend
if only the other Gravekeeper's, barring Descendant, were more useful, then Spy would win hands down.at the moment, both function in their own decks effectively and both are great cards to use.i vote GK Spy for the fact its get around Firedawg and i hate Firedawg at the moment

Dark_Armed_Zombie
Ok, because people doubted the awesomesauce that Firedog is (which I find REALLY strange) I'm going to make a topic about it. YEAH!
RyanAtlus
If those Duel Spirits would ever have a conversation, it would sound like abridged rex 'n weevil. Depends on Deck, obviously. But in generic Decks, Spy.

-Griffin
Since Ryko's mill is so positive for many of my Decks, Hamster is more useful to me, although Spy has uses too.
