Also' date=' most of the keywords are explained in the free "How to Play MtG" pamphlet you get in anything except a normal booster. It also conviently explains the game and how to play. Who'd a thunk?

ACtually booster packs always brings you either a token or a game mechanic feature explaining one of the mechanics.......

That started since M10 or so

Yu-Gi-Oh! is fun. The cards look great' date=' read great, have a nice variety, and just the right amount of gameplay complexity. All the other games just don't feel as good as Yu-Gi-Oh! does. The only time I enjoy playing Magic is when I play speed with a forest deck. I never got into the terminology and feel of Magic. Pokemon cards look pretty, but I only ever got to play one game with them in all the years I had cards, and that game blew (due to outside circumstances). Duel Masters was kind of confusing, and not a lot of fun. Lame/computer generic card graphics, too.

Yeah...Magic does have a complex back story but the cards don't really do much to get you into it...they are pretty blah in their art to.

I'm sorry, I was all good with it up until you said this, you obviously have no idea what you are talking about.

I'm more familiar with YGO, but I'm starting to like MtG more and more because there are more levels of redundancy to stop more powerful combos from going out on turn one. Btw, I'm refering to Type 2, or the equivalent of Advanced format in YGO. In Type 1.5/1 there are still insane combos that are broken...

How can I have no Idea what I'm talking about when I'm simply giving my opinion on art? The art of Magic just doesn't do it for me like that of YGO or DM

But the way your are telling it is like MTG art sucks compared to DM an YGO which is completely false.....

It does not suck per say...I just like the others better. There is no true or false ans..it is just a matter of opinion and preference.

Yugioh. Cause it's the only one ive played.

Pokemon ONCE' date=' but i really didn't like the whole "Energy" thing.

[/quote']

Than you'd hate MTG's mana.

maybe, maybe not, the mana system is different than the energy system pokemon uses, and f you want to be fast, then you run alt. mana sorces.

Yugimonz...because I haven't played anything else.

Well, that's not quite true. I played MtG a little around the same time I started playing Yu-gi-oh...which would be not too long after the Yugi/Kaiba starter decks popped up on these shores. Of course, back then I had the intelligence of a drowned emu, so thinks did not go so great. I am definitely intrigued by it, though, since some people at my school play, but I'm waiting for a half-way decent deck to just sort of drop out of the sky in front of me.

Yugioh is my favorite just because I love the tone and style of the cards but I've played all of the games. I however prefer Magic's community far over Yugioh's' date=' it just seems more tolerant of newer players and less volatile about cards all the time <_<

[/quote']

Agreed.

None the less, at least when I made a random deck, I won at least 1 out of 2 loses.

For YGO, it's WAY different.

Hrm...now is it GOOD that a random deck can win that often?
