darkwolf777
What's wrong with Assault Modes? The only one I find worth playing is Stardust Assault, not that i've tried the other ones anyway.
Scatty
They are hard to get fast. And the game is 90% based on speed right now. And as you just said, Stardust Assault is the only one worth the effort.

Yes, but banning stardust makes this balanced.

Instant synchs are easy, and activating a single trap (which has a quick and effective searcher) isn't exactly slow. The game's lost a lot of speed recently, and control's more important, /Assault is entire viable right now.

As I said, Stardust makes this card broken, but even without him, it would still be balanced.I generally keep my backrow to two cards when playing with Stardust/Assault (especially if the other is Assault Mode Activate) Dude' date=' you play Assault Modes?[/quote'] I do... online... I can't spend over $100 to make a deck of cards... Yankee
I run 2. Whats strange is that this card is actually somewhat annoying to have in my own deck. I run quick synchro, and this kills my Stardust Targets. However, it's still amazing to use.I've played guys much better than myself, who run near perfect decks. The guy played Icarus, and I used Starlight. With tons of people around him, he just says "Come on..What can I do about that? Seriously, what can I even do about that?" I've had fun with this card before. Set both Starlights, and had another face down, and another monster.Opponent goes Heavy, I use Starlight. He goes Torrential, I got Starlight. He RAEGed. I like this card, obviously.Players will have to think about using their nukes (more AMERICAN REDNECKS at least). I've found myself playing smarter now. If my opponent has 3 + face downs, I can bet there is a Starlight. Just takes a little thinking. You can already eliminate one face down. 2 + to go. After that, you gotta think about what the opponent did during his last turn. Pay attention to the cards he draws. If he drew the card, and set it, it's a good chance it'll help him if you attack. If it was already face-down, have you been attacking successfully? Meh, I just think about my moves.Maybe I over think..lulz

Set divine wrath if you're afraid. divine wrath = spell speed 3.Stardust = spell speed 2 however the summoner is a trap, and immune to wraith, so the orginal card you atempted it still stopped. Azuh
Super Polymerization for Great Tornado and Surging Dragon Knight Surging Dragon Knight allows you to remove a Dragon from EITHER player's Graveyard Probably the best side option while this card is around IMO
Sephiroth_The_Legend
they should re-errata it.to: You can only activate this in response to a card effect that would destroy 2 or more cards you control. Negate the card effect and destroy. You can then Special Summon 1 "Stardust Dragon" from your Extra Deck. The Special Summoned monster is returned to your Extra Deck at the End Phase of the turn. GenzoTheHarpist
Though, while this IS broken, I think it's having a good effect on the meta... for instance, no more JD wiping out everything i've got, and the stardust even prevents them from just dropping a second one. So we're doing balance tweaking now? Meh, let me try: Pay 800 Life Points. Negate the activation and effect of a card that would destroy 2 or more cards on the field, and destroy that card. Then, you can Special Summon 1 "Stardust Dragon" from your Extra Deck. That monster has its effect negated and cannot be Tributed for a Tribute Summon. Opinions? evilfusion
Evidently adding 800 LP cost to something automatically makes it more balanced. I dont mind the "no cost" aspect of Road. Summoning Stardust is what makes it overpowered. Not because of Stardust's effect, but because it's a 2500 beater that you got because the first part is free. Negating Stardust's effect doesn't help much: the problem is in its ATK points. We have enough "Summon Synchro, negate their effect" cards. Besides, for Stardust you have to say "Its effect cannot be activated", because Stardust still gets around Skill Drain because it leaves the field by being tributed for its cost, resetting the "negate effect" condition. But Stardust can't use its resummon effect if summoned by Road, so once it dies/negates something, it's gone. Stardust therefore is only really "valuable" to prevent another mass removal card, as almost any form of regular removal will kill it, and if it bothers negating it, it'll be gone anyway, so spam 1 for 1 removal if you're worried about Stardust sticking around. Starlight Road only punishes wipe cards, many of which people complain about them being banworthy. Does this fall under "broken card to counter broken cards" or an asset to the game, similar to Mirror Force and Torrential?
darkwolf777
It would've been fine without the whole "Special Summon Stardust Dragon". Either way, it exists and can't be helped, so i'll be sure to keep one or two in my Stardust Assault deck x.o

Even if the effect can only be used once, it can still be very nasty. And the LP cost is there to discourage players from using 3 (either that or you should run Solemn at 0). Or should it be 1000?
