byak
It is like that' date=' he isn't using the words Once per turn, so therefore you can activate the effect multiple times. When I first looked at the card and read the effect I immediately thought, is this a joke? Way UPed. But actually reading the effect how it is meant to be shows you. Trust me. And it "is like that" lol, it's just using different wording that's all :)[/quote'] Only one "Galaxy Cannon" can have its effect activated per turn = Once per turn
Master of Chaos™
Okay but i still think he meant Once per turn and my Underpowered Decision still remains.
Cloister
I would use it with "Machine Emperor". Would be so great. But the card itself is not OPed, but can be abused though since Machines have become more common and gotten more support cards.

That may be how you meant it, but if this card was in the TCG it would be used multiply. Can I just asked how it means "Once per turn", in my view it doesn't, and I'm sure you've seen why I think this. if it was worded "A "Galaxy Cannon" you control can only have its effect activated once per turn", then I'd accept that. Isn't the "One" referring to the Galaxy Cannon (card) not the Galaxy Cannon's EFFECT. O,OOO I've just got confused. Anyhow can you explain it? Oh, and FYI, his wording is correct. Still don't believe me? Fine, let's look at the wording of "Fairy Archer", a card that's even released in the TCG. pipipa
Thanks for telling me, pity someone couldn't have said the same thing 5 or so posts ago. Guest Cursed Reaction
For goodness sake, why can someone not just explain the stupid Hero Mask combo works. Until someone tells me how you run this in an elemental hero deck? Not a big expert with hero mask anyway.

pipipa
Even if you change the name of "Galaxy Cannon" by an effect like that of "Hero Mask", then you still can only activate its damage-inflicting effect once per turn. In this case, because the name is changed, if you control 2 "Galaxy Cannon", the other can activate it's effect.
Master of Chaos™
Wait i don't understand the Hero Mask deal because what Elemental Hero Monster would you send to the Graveyard to make it an OTK situation? Guest Lily
It can be OPed... or it can be drastically UPed. It all depends upon it's ruling tbh.If it has the same ruling as Fairy Archer, then it's drastically UPed.If it doesn't, it's OPed.And for those that don't know the ruling... Master of Chaos™
Well i still say it's underpowered because i think it should have the same Ruling of Fairy Archer.
byak
The ruling you guys are talking about is a BKSS ruling, which only applies to Fairy Archer. Also, you cannot change your decision after you've already posted it.

Maybe I didn't make it clear. And I guess it is the same ruling as they use the same wording. You could use machine duplication and use them as tribute fodder. I don't really consider these type of cards to be UPed. I consider cards like Larvae Moth to be more UPed imo.
Guest Cursed Reaction
Now I get it. I feel utterly stupid now that I didn't notice that. The combo's fairly situational though.
byak
Well, it's already been stated, but the answer isBroken. It has a simple FTK, summon it, play Hero Mask, and then it's name is changed so it can activate it's effect more than once per turn.It has even more potential, as it is Level 1, giving it the ability to be searched out by One for One.There's also the under 1500 ATK aspect and it's searchability. No one posted the verdict with the proper reasoning...Again... Also, next round is up.
Guest Cursed Reaction
It's hard to say for Ancient Slab. If I compare with cards, best example being Ancient Leaf, it's actually quite OPed. Draw it too late in the game, and it becomes a dead card but draw it early and it becomes broken. Hardly anyone plays healing decks anymore so Ancient Leaf was not that useful. You had to have, in a 8000 Life Points Duel, 1000 extra Life Points and then pay 2000. Here, you don't need to have an extra 1000 but pay an extra 1000. Same thing but Ancient Slab is just a little bit better since you don't need to increase your Life Points. That actually makes a big difference. I say OPed and make it either Limited or Semi-Limited. -Griffin
Byak got card 2 wrong. Cite: Even if you change the name of Fairy Archer with a card like Hero Mask you cannot activate its effect more than once per turn.[1]It would be ruled as an invalid OTK, and therefore would be a pretty much useless card. @Ancient Slab OP'd. FTKs don't need another way to draw, which is where this will find use. 2 of these in an FTK cut 2 more cards out of your Deck - and FTKs have enough of that to make them small already, not including the other engines they use. The LP cost in an FTK Deck would usually be ignorable because it FTKs, but this is notable enough to actually make it more OP'd. By widening the LP gap, Life Equalizer + Blasting the Ruins FTK becomes annoyingly consistent and doesn't need Wall of Revealing Light to set LP low enough. Even if you say it's not OP'd because the FTK is still too inconsistent, it's main use will be OTKs and FTKs since if you don't win after using it, your opponent can OTK too easily. That makes it simply horrible card design for encouraging FTKs and not helping anything else. tl;dr - It's going to take more than LP to balance generic +1 draw. Sometimes it's obvious there'll be a BKSS ruling, which officially makes the card work in a certain way. It's also worded identically to Fairy Archer. Fairy Archer's card text means that Hero Mask doesn't work, officially, therefore the same wording on another card also doesn't OTK.

-Griffin
You act as though knowing rulings isn't important to balance. Knowing rulings, especially common ones like Darkworld cost vs effect, missing timing, nomi vs semi-nomi and so on can sometimes be the complete deciding factor in if a card's worth using. Just because a ruling only applies to 1 TCG card doesn't make it any less important to know.
Master of Chaos™
Well for the Round 3 Card, Ancient Slab seems fairly balanced.I can see this because of all the Draw Engine Cards i have seen until now this Card doesn't have too much of a Cost for 2 Cards that could save you in the Game. It could be said like this your Life Points matter but not as much as the cards in your Deck.3000 Life Points isn't much for 2 cards especially in Decks that utilize in Drawing Cards.I guess what i am trying to say is that you should take Decks like Exodia for an example. You don't concentrate on your Life Points or on your opponent's Life Points because you know that when you draw Exodia it won't matter. And this Card helps you achieve that. But it is also not Overpowered because it takes away 3000 of your Life Points which you might need later in the Game So i propose this Card is balanced. Lol, no really, i think it's OPed aswell. Not only because of all the cards he stated, or for OTKs, but for dd decks, for example necroface or soul absorbsion decks. with decks that gain lp rapidly like those, paying that little to draw seems insignificant. especially cards that benifit when ur LP is less than ur opponents. Also (i know this is unlikely but could happen) is 2 (or even 1) life absorbing machines - which is used in some psychic decks. its practically Pot of Greed all over again. And there's a reason it was forbidden, a free +1. However, if this card was a trap card, I think it would be balanced. That's just my opinion however, as I think the fact u can activate it straight away makes it OPed.
