Poison Draw Frog

Recommended Posts

When this face-up card on the field is sent to the Graveyard (unless it was attacked while face-down and destroyed by battle)' date=' you can draw 1 card.[/quote']

It's pretty useless, but I keep seeing Japanese decklists that play it. So I re read every other card in the deck and found swap frog had an effect which I've overlooked that makes the frog deck perhaps a bit better.

You can discard 1 WATER monster to Special Summon this card from your hand. When this card is Summoned' date=' you can select and send 1 Level 2 or lower Aqua-Type WATER monster from your Deck [b']or your side of the field[/b] to the Graveyard. Once per turn, you can return 1 monster you control to your hand to Normal Summon 1 "Frog" monster, except "Swap Frog" or "Frog the Jam", in addition to your Normal Summon or Set this turn.

Now could my frogs be made better now knowing that I can use swap frog to trigger the effects of poison draw and dupe frog without missing the timing for their effects, or is poison draw still not worth playing?

Is Poison Draw Frog effectivly one of those cards that EASILY misses the timing?

And that Swap Frog is like the only card that DOESNT cause it to do that?

The "can" clause often messes up with timing, and the only cases you wouldn't want to draw if you have a game dragged out or were decked thinned/destroyed by your opponent.
