Dark Simorgh

Recommended Posts

You go first' date=' special summon this, set Anti-Spell Fragrance, and whatever else you want to do for the turn. As soon as they draw, flip Anti-Spell Fragrance. Complete S/T lock down.

If you have no backrow, they go Summoner Monk > Rescue Cat > Airbellum > Arcanite > Your entire plan was screwed.

monarchs running caius and raiza. or mist valley synchro. or something like that.

What would happen if you activated Book of Moon while this was Face-Up?

If you mean book a monster other than Simorgh' date=' BoM fizzles as it cannot complete the action, that is if you target one of your own monster. Otherwise it goes through.

The player your Simorgh is affecting cannot play Book of Moon at all (and if something that Special Summons Simorgh is chained to a Book of Moon your opponent played, then it would indeed fizzle). You yourself can play Book of Moon on any monster on the field.

Dark Simorgh affects the player, not any cards on the field, so its not target specific. It is the player that cannot perform any sets (or flip cards face-down) anywhere on the field.

Why not just bring out Goyo with your Airbellum and a level 3 Beast to lock down your opponent by stealing the Dark Simorgh?

Anti-Spell Frangance really screws the format up when combined with this... You can't use Book of Moon' date=' Mirror Force, or a freaking Teleport.

Yet it doesn't beat JD.

But Lightsworns ARE severely slowed without their spells and traps. It also stops them from Ryko and bringing back JD if it were milled.

The more I see people liking this card the more I like Caius...

I'm not running it because the only two Wind-Types that I won't use as toilet paper are Stardust and MV Soldier.

Fortune Lady Wind isn't toilet paper, may not have much attack, but it's an MST on legs and gives you more draw while also counter-acting the remove from hand revival.

Raiza feels very sad right now. Basically because he's covered in s***' date=' lying somewhere in the sewer.

Let him there, 2 of the 7 Monarchs are more useful than him anyway.

He's just as useable as Thestalos, and Caius is the only one that's better.

Caius is the best, no doubt. But I also like Mobius...
