Can this card can negate cards like "Starlight Road" or "Jurrac Meteor"? Those cards Special Summon monsters' date=' but is the last thing they do. I am not sure if this card negates them simply because they CAN Special Summon a monster.

No, you cannot negate Starlight Roads Special Summoning effect with Divine Warning, since by the time you Special Summon Stardust Dragon with it, the negation effect has already worn off. You will only end up negating the Special Summoning of Stardust Dragon.

Jurrac Meteor is a different story, since it destroys all cards on the field and then you Special Summon 1 Tuner from your Graveyard.

wrong xander. cards dont quite work that way. if divine warning were to negate starlight road, it would negate every part of it.

a card works as follows:

1-pay cost

2-activation

3-resolution

4-lingering effects

the only part of this that can be chained to is the activation. and the activation is simply "hey i'm activating this guy here". if a card would negate it, it must negate it at this point. not halfway through its resolution.

furthermore:

cards like royal oppression and divine warning can be chained to everything from starlight road to crystal abundance to jurrac meteor.

if a card's effect at any point includes the effect of special summoning, it can be negated.

Thanks for correcting me, now I'm less of an idiot in this game. I guess it's true that people learn something new every day.

What? The first time I read it' date=' I didn't misread it at all.

And people should stop focusing on Special Summons when it comes to this thing.

But it stops Normal Summons as well. Seriously, this thing is amazing! This+Starlight Road=great protection.
