Expelsword
"This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except with its own effect or with "Assault Mode Activate". You can Tribute this card to negate the activation of a Spell Card, Trap Card, or Effect Monster's effect, and destroy that card. If you negate an effect this way, you can Special Summon this card from your Graveyard during the End Phase. When this card on the field is destroyed, you can Special Summon 1 "Stardust Dragon" from your Graveyard." Seems like everyone in "Your Deck" is suddenly interested in this card (Especially Flamvell variants (Myself included)) is it really good this format? Is it good overall? I really like it personally
evilfusion
It's the best of the Assault Modes. Being able to negate anything once a turn while holding a 3000 ATK body and reviving itself each round, requiring the use of the very good and often played Stardust Dragon as part of its Summoning Condition...what's not to like? Flamvells have swift access to level 8 Synchros, making a lot of cards like this even better and easier to bring out at a moment's notice to utterly dominate the opponent. Expelsword
The best part of it I find, is the chainability of Assault Mode Activate for a huge damage potential. And yes, level 8 is the easiest to synch for Summoner MonkInstant FusionTrickyCyDra... There's Starlight Road too! so if you can only synch 7 you can STILL synch 8! Flame Dragon
Starlight Road makes this super easy to use.
GenzoTheHarpist
Still too difficult to summon to be meta.
evilfusion
I think part of it is less than 8 is the easiest and more that they released more support to MAKE Synching for 8 easier. 4 star tuners, 5 star easily summoned monsters to support 3 star tuners, etc. Got to love Assault Modes. But only Stardust, because Stardust gets all the love.
Expelsword
I've actually gotten Stardust turn 1 and chained AMA right when they drew... I guess it comes down to the opener... I mean, if you get 3 AMA and 2 Assault Beast you're pretty well limited
GenzoTheHarpist
At least assault beast has 1900 ATK.
evilfusion
Thanks a lot. Now I have to go build a Stardust Assault deck! *sniffle*
Expelsword
The Assault support is actually pretty good, though I never ever saw the point of Assault Revival, it basically says "Yeah, we know your plan about how Stardust is easy to detatch, screw that!" Blackwing-Master
Love this card.Flamvell/AM is my current IRL. The only problem is that it can lead to many horrible dead draws, which has happened to me many times, having both SDD/AM in my hand. Gotta love that it's a reusable Solumn. evilfusion
Assault Revival is obvious. It's a Quick Play that lets you summon back an Assault Mode for one final attack. Assault Overload is obviously for some damage, roughly 2000 points of it. Assault Slash is obviously to revive the non-Assault counterpart. They're all interesting effects in combo, come to think of it, but they're not good. Stardust Dragon attacks. Use AAM, attack with Stardust Assault. Activate Overload to deal 2000 damage. Activate Revival to revive Assault Mode and attack again. Slash is just kind of weird to use and doesn't fit in the combo unless you did the LONGER version. Stardust Assault, attack something. Use Slash to nuke the field and revive Stardust. Attack with it, use AAM, attack with Assault, Use Overload for 2000 damage, and Revival. I'm so tempted to try to make a deck like that work. Expelsword
Slash is really only for OTKs, and once you lose /Assault, Stardust is a lot more vulnerable Besides AMA, of course, Teleport is the best support
Canadian
Still too difficult to summon to be meta. lol. I set Starlight Road + Assault Mode Activate. *End Turn* They Heavy Storm... I procede to win.

I procede to win. Nobody is going to heavy a person with two back row and nothing else, that's a really foolish thing to do. It's not meta. Also people are running crow now more, so it's easier to take out than you think.
darkwolf777
SD/AM makes a fun deck for me~ Also, even it may not be clear with everyone (I only came to understand this recently since its not really clear through its card text but...), SD/AM can not only negate the activation of cards, but it can also negate the activations of effects of cards. This means SD/AM can negate the effects and destroy cards that other negation cards cannot. This really comes into play for negating already face-up continuous cards that have effects that create a chain, but cannot be negated by your average card that only negates the activation of cards. This means SD/AM can negate and destroy already face-up Field Spell Cards, Continuous Spell Cards and Continuous Trap Cards whose effect can create a chain (such as Ultimate Offering, Valhalla, Black Garden, etc)

Yankee
You know you've won when you have 2 Stardusts, and 2 Stardust/AM out at the same time. While you secretly have a Solemn face down.Go on. I dare you. Play something.
Expelsword
but what about 3 /Assaults and a Stardust? Just 'cause it's better to run 2 doesn't mean you can't have 3...
