fortunately there is no card that is consistently a staple.

Tronta' date=' please tell me 1 single deck in which Trunade is bad.

[/quote']

Any deck not focused on OTK-ing, which is a good majority of them.

I said bad, not half-decent.

It's only a staple if it's good in every Deck. Half-decent =/= staple.

It is bad in anything that doesn't OTK. Don't even try to use the SRL argument.

Brain Control is a card I'm very fond of, but I have noticed a plethora of duels (particularly with one of my earlier Infernity decks) where I topdecked a Brain Control in a losing situation and won. It's a very powerful card and does add a nasty luck factor to many a duel. It would not alarm me if it got banned, and it would sadden me a little, but I think it could be better for the game if it were to be hit.

One card, for a minor cost (800 LP, standard) lets you

1) Remove any faceup monster from your opponent's field.

2) Place that monster on your field.

3) Give you access to that monster's effects and uses.

4) Allows you to attack, Tribute, or Synchro with that monster, bypassing the obligatory return of that monster at the end of the turn.

5) Has absolutely no downsides beyond the minor cost.

It has always been a NICE card and I loved it from the moment I discovered it got printed. The fact a card that strong has evaded the ban when so many other control cards got hit (Snatch Steal, Change of Heart, etc) is amazing, and the advent of Synchros only makes this card stronger. It's easier to summon powerful monsters, the aforementioned Synchros, and stealing one for a tiny cost is overpowered. And if you have a Tuner, you can Synchro your own monster later in the turn or immediately. Synchros is why Mind Control, AKA "Change of Heart so watered down, it sucks" got limited to ONE. These days, Mind Control can be almost as good as Brain Control was before Synchros and the like (Cyber Valley and Synchros get malicious grins), so why is Brain Control still around?

A card's power often needs to be re-evaluated as the game progresses and although Brain Control wasn't a huge deal earlier in the game after release (TLM), these days, the number of effects involving monsters you control or tributing or similar makes it much more dangerous and versatile and adds a lucksack factor to many duel endgames that it should at least be considered a candidate for banning.

Here's a testament to how broken this is

I have Stardust and Black-Winged Dragons

He synchs Goyo and drops DAD

Steals Stardust, Breaks Black-Winged

I synch Rose, he uses my Stardust

I Brain Control DAD remove Sangan and blow up Goyo

Attack, then remove Black-Winged to destroy DAD

I get Stardust back

next round: game

Actually, I can name a Deck that doesn't use Brain, Storm, Trunade or CFD.

But anyways: people that leave a Cydra and other Machines on the Field ought to be raped with a rubber chicken dipped in liquid nitrogen.

And no, you're not going to sig that.

OT: love him in Stardust Assault. It's so awesome to activate your own Assault Mode after Braining their Stardust after Storming after they set 2 f/ds without monsters.

Professional Duelist believes that it is more efficient to use Book of Moon into a monster, attack into it with a Glad, taking LP damage, and then tag out for Murmillo to kill it than to Brain Control said monster, attack with both the stolen monster and the Glad for good kills and damage, and then tag out for Murmillo to kill the stolen monster. Why? Because PD is a moron.

I side brain myself, I start with mind control in my first, since I find it a little bit more useful in getting problems out of the way, and I can steal face down monsters, which could mean I get to use ryko or at the very least cause a searcher like spy to fizzle.

and then I synch, of course.

Because I don't run BCON and if I did I would do the latter.

I would rather do the former because I do NOT run bcon.

What I do and do NOT run influences gameplay.

1. Final Countdown CAN run bcon, it's just not recommended.

2. Brainiac are getting worse and worse, season by season.

This is wonderful for my Spirit deck.

Sooo many people had their Armor Master and teh such tributed for my DDS and to have their field decimated by it's effect.

Want to know what the difference between Brain Control and Fiend's Sanctuary is in this scenario where the stolen monster is anything other than Stardust Dragon? (The correct answer is "800 Life Points".)

staple card is staple...if their not using it their doing it wrong

I hate Mind Control' date=' but if Brain Control was banned I would use it

mind and brain just in case you can't draw the latter

mind is hella good...sure it can't attack or tribute..but if you can't find some way to syncro or take advantage of that monsters effect then you're doing it wrong.

mind a brionic or chaos sorcerer..use their effects on themselves

mind a plasma...

mind an AZ

its all fun in the neigborhood

Book of Moon is better in glads than B-Con 90% of the time. No reason to run Brain control over another book of moon when that will hurt you 90% of the time.
