Silas Angel
eye can use my Christian beliefs?*rolls up sleeves*-Is it a choice? Yes.-Is it wrong? Yes.-Should they be allowed to marry? No.-Should they be allowed to adopt kids? I would advise against it' date=' but it isn't a matter.-Should we be expected to tolerate coexisting with them? Very yes.-Should we treat them like everyone else? Very yes.-Do we have to treat them like people? They're still people; yes.-Should we listen to what the Bible says about them? Yes, we should.-Should we listen to the Bible at all? [b']Regardless of what you think of the truth, it is still the truth. Yes. We should.[/b] It's Christians like you that believe that you can dictate what people feel. Gays pay taxes let them marry. You call yourself a good Christian and you say that the gays will burn in hell. The bible also says "love thy neighbor" "Do not judge others as god will judge you equally as you judge them" So you condeming the gays using the bible. you've guarnenteed yourself to burn in hell. the bible isn't the truth. nothing in there can be proven. God also says don't wear clothing made of more than one seed but we're drilling that. God also loves ALL his children. He says that himself.I'm only saying the truth, homosexuals will burn in hell, along with liars, thieves, adulterers, idolaters, covetous, revilers, swindlers, and foolish. You seem to have this idea that I'm placing a harsh emphasis on gays, as though I hate them. Not at all; I hate sin, and I only want to tell you guys the truth. And because this thread was about gays, I told the truth. Yes, the Bible says to love your neighbor, but what greater love is there than to warn them of the coming danger? If a blind man was running and I saw that he were running off the edge of a cliff, would I not be wrong to just let him run off? If I love him, I would warn him. And do not judge? Jesus was the one who said that, yet He condemned a good many people to hell. Is He in hell? Paul also condemned a lot of people throughout the New Testament, surely he isn't in hell. Peter, just as well, has condemned many throughout the New Testament, yet no one thinks he's in hell. Obviously, that was not the point of what Jesus was telling us about judging. And yes, God loves all of His children. But His children are all a peculiar people much like myself who hate the sins of the world, practice discernment and good judgment, and grow more holy every single day out of their love for Him. And those who don't have every reason to question whether they are His children or not. The bolded is what I love.God says no incest. How are we here? incest is the answer. King Solomon had multiple wives. Mary is said to be a virgin but Jesus popped that cherry. God gave a man a kitchen condoment as a wife. So you say we should take everything in the bible literally? All up until Revelation.

What Christians are not allowed to do is judge hypocritically, which is the point of the passage you quoted. Matthew 7 and Romans 2 deal with it very well. Hypocrites will be judged with every judgment they place. But notice that Christ didn't say that you cannot help remove the speck if you have no log. In fact, Christ told us to judge: "Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment." -John 7:24 But yes, the Bible is very clear with what is to be done in one's life. If you don't know how the Bible commands you to even talk or make deals with people, then you probably haven't read enough. It just requires basic reading skills. My Response: first you were saying if you lie or perform and kind of sin you will go to hell...now you're saying that you have sinned but are saved by the grace of god as if other people who have lied and sinned haven't.[/quote'] But here is the difference: Once a man is saved by grace, he stops his sin. "Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness. You know that he appeared to take away sins, and in him there is no sin. No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him. Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous. Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God's seed abides in him, and he cannot keep on sinning because he has been born of God. By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother." - 1 John 3:4-10 "Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God." - 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 "Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires." -Galatians 5:19-24 "But God's firm foundation stands, bearing this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.” -1 Timothy 2:19 Here's what I'm saying: All men are sinners and break the laws of God, therefore all men deserve the wrath of God in hell. Some men are saved by the grace of God from hell and those men who are saved are sanctified and purified and made holy by the same God that gave grace. So I can say, along with those who were of the Corinthian church, that I was a liar, I was a thief, I was a blasphemer, I was an idolater, one who used foul language, a cheat, a fornicator, and even a homosexual. But even though I was, God gave me grace and saved me from it all. And now He purifies me every day, to make me more and more like Him. It isn't that I'm any better than any of them, but that I WAS just like them. But God has made me new.
CrabHelmet
In other words, the difference between people who go to heaven and people who go to hell is which arbitrary group of equally good people God, who supposedly loves everyone, chooses to save, unlike everyone else. Or maybe it's based on which arbitrary group of people happen to psychically guess that the Second Lutheran Baptist Wesleyan Reform Church contains the Real True Truth, unlike all those fools who believe in the First Lutheran Etcetera Church or Judaism or Buddhism or who use the logical thinking abilities that God gave them to note the total lack of evidence in favour of, and thus the total lack of reason to believe in, His existence. Either way, something is really screwed up. What you describe is a capricious and selfish God who arbitrarily chooses to condemn the vast majority of His children (for whom he loves infinitely) to eternal torment, despite having the full capability to save all of them and there being no difference between those He saves and those He abandons beyond the tautological fact that He chose to save the ones He chose to save. Fidel Castro
I remember reading something about how god no likes incest. Kind of ironic seeing as, according to the bible, we are all related. (By blood) God killed everyone in old testament. He allowed one of his most loyal followers, his wife, his three sons, and their wives/girlfriends to live. They later went on to repopulate the ENTIRE world. Given, 2k years will cause substantional genetic mutation, but in the end we are still related if the old testament is to be beleived. That being said how do we know what religion is true? Polythiesm was around long before monothiesm so wouldn't the belief that their are numerous gods be more true then the belief that their is only one god? And if you argue that the newer the religion is, the more accurate it is then... islam is newer then christianity thus it would be more true then christianity. Since the Muslims ultimently won the crusades then one could argue that god let them win because they were following a truer religion then their enemys. But I believe that it isn't being handled correctly on any side. Those that are for homosexuality are strongly opinionated and are very angry when they are given exactly what they want. Do you remember the Beauty Pageant where the woman didn't approve of homosexuality? Perez Hilton liked her when he asked the question, but after her comment, posted a video all about how stupid she is. He didn't even mention the homosexuality comment! But Christians and anti-homosexuals are also looking at the homosexuals like they have a disease. I, personally, (and I know that I'm going to get a lot of hate over this), find that being a homosexual isn't okay. Either keep it to yourself and let the Lord handle things how he chooses, or don't do it at all. Marriage and Love are meant to be between a man and a woman. That's why God created Adam and Eve. Not Adam and Brody.
