They said the only way it could get harder is if they added an underwater timed boat escort mission. And when you finish a level, it says "YOU COMPLETED YOUR UNDERWATER TIMED BOAT ESCORT MISSION!" You have to back track through that level and not die if you want that gem, both gems in fact, because it has one of those insanely cruel death zone pads that fad after one death.
