Also, guys my house is a little damaged from the quake but my parents and I are ok. Glad to hear that you're alright, Starrk....Worried about Josh too. He quickly turned on the spot, made sure his wife was still in the shoe store with Shawn, he ran to find his lost Jason. How could this happen today? All I wanted was for Jason to have a good birthday... “Jason?! JASON, answer me!” He ran past coffee shops, gaming stores, and small gift shops, none of them holding his lost son. Finally, in a short amount of time, he found a clown next to a small boy, Jason. “Dad, dad! Can I get a red balloon?” Jason came running to Ethan with a puppy dog look on his face. Of course, Ethan didn’t need convincing. It was Jason’s birthday after all. “Of course, just don’t run off again, okay?” Ethan waited for Jason’s evitable response of, ‘Of course.’ The clown turned to two and bent over to look Jason in the eyes, and letting out a little laugh, “Hey! Whatcha want little man?” Jason pointed quickly to one of the many red balloons, and the clown reached up to get it, and quickly back down. “Here you go little man.” The clown’s mouth bent in a way Ethan had never seen before, but he wasn’t paying much attention to the clown. Jason had started to walk off again. “Jason!” Ethan started to go after Jason, but the clown stopped him. “Hey man, hey. You owe me two bucks.” He held his hand out, expecting the pay. Ethan checked his back pocket for his wallet, realizing all too late he didn’t bring it. He searched his front left pocket and his front right, only finding a single five. “Keep the change.” Ethan shoved the money into the clown’s hand just as his wife and Shawn walked up to him. “Ethan? Where’d Jason go?” Grace had a look of shock on her face when she say Ethan’s face. “Oh God, don’t tell me you lost him! Go find him right now!” As she said this, she ran off with Shawn in tow to find Jason. “JASON? JASON, GET BACK HERE RIGHT NOW!” Ethan couldn’t be stopped. People all over would be shoved as he made his way down the few stores left and to the escalators. “Hey, ass, pay attention.” “Jerk!” “Go die in a fire, man.” None of these meant anything to Ethan. He had to find Jason. He quickly turned around in the crowd, looking for a single red balloon, finally noticing one at the far end of the room. He pushed, shoved, and yelled his way across the room, all while being called many rude names. “Jason, you can’t...” Ethan grabbed the child, and quickly realized this kid wasn’t Jason. Jason didn’t look as retarded as this kid did. Ethan quickly jumped back up and started looking for Jason once more. He noticed a large group of balloons, all red, ran towards them. Just as he got there, all the balloons were released, not a single stayed near the ground. That is impossibly cruel. Suddenly, Ethan was at the front of the mall entrance, and believe it or not, there was Jason across the street. How could he have gotten over there so quickly? “JASON!” “Dad!” Jason started running back to Ethan from across the street, just as a car turned across the corner. “JASON! NOOOOO, GO BACK!” Jason did no such thing. Ethan dove for his son, and the car didn’t stop in time. Ethan and Jason fell to the ground, neither moving. “Jason?...Jason!” Grace could barely speak through her sobbing... Part one of a oneshot?
