Turbo Duels

Recommended Posts

I think the system will go like this

[speed Duel Method]

Max Speed counter 5-10 [Does not take space of field spell zone but will be placed their]

Each Player starts with 3-5 Speed counters

Spell cards cost either 1000-2000 Life points or 1-2 Speed Counter

mostly we get the main idea...

I hope

[if they did do a Riding duel based game play for YGO TCG]

I personally thought it was a cool idea. It'd only be cool with motorcycles if there were holograms (obviously). I like how turbo duels are actually slower than regular duels.

Personally, I think Turbo Duels would be cool if every Spell card had a Speed Counter requirement and/or cost for activating it while in Speed World, in addition to its other costs and conditions of course.

I think it would be pretty funny if Speed World (or 2, whichever you prefer) could also be just a real field spell that can cause you to change between a regular duel and a Turbo Duel. Then again, to me, that idea doesn't even sound good in my mind or look good even on paper.

As for Turbo Duels, rather than either of the two Speed Worlds made already, I think I'd like it more if there was a Speed World that didn't have any effects besides adding a Speed Counter to each player during each Standby Phase. Between Speed World and Speed world 2, though, i like Speed World better. I kinda like how Speed World helps in making it harder to use the banned Spells by removing Speed Counters through damage.

tl;dr: Turbo Duels would be cool if regular Spells (except for Field Spells, obviously) had Speed Counter requirements and/or costs. It'd be a little complicated, but a lot more fun than a simpler system.

I could imagine it being implemented in the real game, like in WC09 and WC10.

*Opens the newest booster pack.*

Me: YESH Allure of Darkness (or some other coolish things, I'm stupid enough to not realize Allure won't be reprinted in a NEW booster pack.)

*Sees the SP thing in the corner of the pic.*

Me: FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUU-

I actually prefer SW2 over SW.

SW2 doesn't make you lose counters upon taking damage, so you can still make a comeback using SW2's effect or Speed Spells.

During geography, several months ago, I had the awesome idea to place a large touch screen on top of the steer of a motorcycle, on which the playing field would be simulated.

You mean, the Anime version. The manga version doesn't even count.

I love SW2 for OTK possibility. Run a Deck of mostly Speed Spells, including 3 Over Boost.

My turn:

-Play Over Boost

-Pay 4 SPC, Reveal 5 Speed Spells

-GAME

See?

WC2010's SW2 inflicts 800 damage, not 800 damage per SS.

Only 4000 life Points? How about no. OTKs for the most part, especially FTKs, are bad for the game. Then again, this FTK is still possible even with 8000 Life Points with 3 Overboost.

Personally, Speed World 2's extra effects are exactly why I hate it. The regular Speed World's only effects revolved around Speed Counters, which is why I like it. Then again, that's just me.

If Speed World 2 were made rather than Speed World, I'd hope WC10's version of Speed World 2 were used. At least WC10's version of Speed World 2 made it harder to use its effects as well as nerfed the first effect so that this FTK wouldn't be possible.

EDIT: LarryCotter beat me to the details about the damaging effect of SW2 on WC10.

My mistake. That was an OTK in the anime, and in a fanfic I was writing. Forgot to translate it to 8000LP.
