JadenxAtemYAOI
We've all dueled them right? We know people that hate them. Please explain why people have the right on dueling sites to say which decks you cannot use. Pretty much any card these days can be deadly with the right combo. Hell even frog the jam can be used. Headmaster Monokuma
I don't like using Meta decks, and I would much rather not face them, but I'm not going to tell people that they can't use them. It's stupid, and it's just a card game.
Flame Dragon
I've only dueled them a couple times. Yea, their a pain.
JadenxAtemYAOI
I've only dueled them a couple times. Yea' date=' their a pain.[/quote'] yeah but they give a challenge. i find that my burn deck has a harder time wasting lp on Metas than non-meta which makes it fun for me because I like to see how far I can get the lp down. I OTKed a Blackwing deck because he failed to destroy my backfield fast enough. I had 3 Wave cannons at 3000 :/
Guest PikaPerson01
T'is stupid, because there's no clear cut definition of what a "meta deck" is. And before someone says something stupid, one should remember there is a difference between a good Blackwing deck and a crumbly one, a good infernity deck and a bad one, and so on in that line. Individual card choices and w/e.
Tronta
i dont like when people build something based on it winning in competitions. it's fine if they stumble across it on their own, and i dont expect people to just follow whatever batshit archetype they like, but only running decks that are good and winning without plugging any original thought short of choosing book of moon or torrential tribute... that's just funking annoying. The closest definition to what is meta can only really be determined by observing the most successful decks at large events. Also numbers. Yugioh is a numbers game because there's always an element of luck involved - if only 20 people played Infernities but 80 people played Sabers, nobody can really determine which is the "better" deck but Sabers are obviously more likely to win the event. JadenxAtemYAOI
Well my burn deck is a bunch of random shi- put together and I'm sure Tronta will put in a good word for my deck. All it does it sheet out towards the end
Legend Zero
I can usually take a game from any "meta" deck but cannot come through in a match. I myself respect the ability of meta decks, but find it not my style to play. I have no problem facing a meta deck because its fun, but I do have a problem with people telling me that meta decks are the only way to win...I don't have fun playing with meta decks "usually". Dr. Cakey
If you're playing to win, you don't really have a reason not to play a meta deck. On the other hand, the meta is not fixed, so it can be "created". Quickdraw Plants, for example, was "created" and became Tier 1 for a while, and remains a solid Tier 2 deck. But you can run the numbers for yourself - you know, how likely is it that I pull Aslla Piscu/Future Vision/etc. before they get out Faultroll. And the answer is obvious - Faultroll can be in play by the first or second turn with no difficulty, while you're going to need to get lucky to have both Aslla Piscu and Mausoleum (for example) by that time. The real root of the problem is people who play a 60-card E-Hero deck and don't say "I'm doing this for teh lulz" but "im teh best doolist evar bcuz im usin jadenz dek". There's nothing wrong with using a Meta Deck, or a non-Meta Deck, but you have to acknowledge you're not going to be as consistent as a Meta Deck if you do. In the end, Meta decks are the ones that end up winning. I don't play a Meta deck (I use Gravekeeper's most times), and I know that my deck isn't consistent, but it sure is fun to use. JadenxAtemYAOI
^^^agreed. D_: do you agree with me too about my burn deck? I't don understand Tier 1 and Tier 2 but I think my Burn deck is one of a kind. It's my hobby deck anyway. Look at my profile on YGN. All those losses and I mean ALL are because of my burn deck. However when my bf duels using his deck or I use my Infernity deck then I win or he wins. My burn deck specializes in healing me and burning my opponent. It lacks the ability to get monsters all the time but it does good enough.
Lonk
Personally, I don't like Meta Decks. They suck the fun out of the game. It is more fun to duel against someone on equal terms with not much chance of an OTK.

I like to duel people who, like me, play for fun and not to win, every time I see a Meta-Deck, I think "Yet another person playing to win >_>" . Really, it's a card game, meant for fun if you ask me, but everyone seems to take it seriously...

Sunshine Jesse
I'll pretty much play/duel anything without complaining. If I lose to a deck then its my own fault. Its frustrating as all hell dueling some meta decks when you just want a casual duel, though.
