voting YCMaker for Best Contributor will have all your votes disqualified

 

How is that even remotely fair? No one actually validly contributes to the forums, and with the recent server updates, YCMaker has actually been DOING SOMETHING. Which is the rarest event you'll ever see in this forum.

I know but I had a runner up for that position and had I known I would have posted them instead. and Dark is right YCMaker did actually contribute.

I thought that was Falling Pizza who investigated problems and moved us to a new server.

I thought that was Falling Pizza who investigated problems and moved us to a new server.

 

Could be a collaboration but I would think that only YCMaker could do that...

It isn't fair to other members if everyone votes for YCMaker. It's obvious he contributes, he contributes everyday by paying for the server. You guys are depriving other members of an opportunity to win an award. Besides, YCMaker could probably care less if he wins an award, so why vote for him anyways?

Ehh this is probably the only season i actually felt somewhat confident i would win an award, though i doubt i will. It would be cool to be Omg King of GFX, plus i have a shot at best shop. though a very slim chance for either.

Sentence Number 1: YCMaker is another member, just like the rest of us. Granted he is an admin, but he is still another damn user on this website. There is no reason why he should be deprived of the opportunity to win an award. That isn't fair, not the bullshit you're talking about.

 

Sentence Number 2: We all know that. Every admin has to contribute like that, paying for the server. But it's not often you see YCMaker interacting with the community, or actually contributing directly to the forum. The forum went into a fit of happiness when he added Synchros, and sub-types. It's not often he does this, and because it was in such proximity to these awards, he should be granted the option of being voted for.

 

Sentence Number 3: There are 24 awards with Top Contributor, and thus 23 without. It honestly does not make that big of a difference if YCMaker rightfully wins one of the awards. It really doesn't.

 

Sentence Number 4: Extremely flawed logic. I don't care if I win an award, so why vote for me? Because you think I'm competent enough to be nominated for x or y or z category. Just because he doesn't care doesn't mean he should not have the option of being voted for.

 

It's all down to the council, and I know I have no say, but your reasoning is extremely bullshit.

I do apologize for getting angry, Eury, but you are defending some really bad logic. I don't know why Rinne suggested it, and I am awaiting a response.

 

I don't feel I deserve to win any category tbqh, as I can think of two or three people that best me in most of then. If I still made cards, I'd have a shot at RC or even AoC, but most likely not.

 

But looking at the current votes, I have a shot at Best Veteran, which scares me because I can think of so many other people that should deserve that spot.

But yeah, the entire post was worded wrong and I couldn't be arsed to write a huge paragraph explaining why YCMaker shouldn't be voted for. I'm tired dammit. ;-;

 

BUT YEAH. yugiohoverlord should win an award. HE'S DONE SO MUCH FOR THIS SITE, YO.

I'm shocked darkguy00000 (five zeros, was it?) hasn't even been voted once for. I should have voted for him, but it slipped my mind when I was casting the ballot.
