Great Unclean One: VK
http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Spirit Level of epicness with these cards: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fGBWdATgSWk&feature=related At 2:50 Not only this is a discussion for Spirits, this is also for: Free + 1 posts. Discussing the mechanic of bouncing. Advantages and disadvantages of getting your or your opponent's cards bounced. Help me explain to noobs why bouncing is good. [spoiler= Why this topic was created] Today I was talking with my friends. They wanted to get into Yu Gi Oh just for the fun of it and see how many people actually plays. So I explained most of the mechanic I know they were gonna encounter. All was fine until I reached bouncing. They argue, that if I bounce a card back to the hand or deck, the Opponent could use it again. They also pointed out, that bouncing must be beneficial to the owner of the card that was being bounced, since my Spirit cards bounced. I tried to show them that sometimes, bouncing could be bad to your Opponent. I showed them DAD, Synchros, and so on. Still, they aren't convinced. Now YCM. Help me think of a way for them to get it. CrabHelmet
Acknowledging that nobody cares about your stupid Spirit obsession isn't as good as just shutting up about Spirits.

Alright. But can we mainly focus on the bouncing mechanic? It'll be better then talking about the cards that I use.... and lose with.
metalflygon08
Bouncing is the sure-fire way to get rid of Stardust, is there any quickplay bouncin cards? And bouncing a hard to summon monster is pro (like when their DaD tries to remove your face down compulsivary evac)

That thing goes back nao. Can't be that much of a noob if they actually got that monster out.... Anyways... Did you explained them about card advantage? That's the advantage and effort lost when bouncing a Synchro/Fusion/Tokens/etc...Otherwise the simple fact that even though the user of the bouncing card is the one that actually lost card advantage, delaying your opponent is a decent reward. Also, even better when your bouncing simply clears the field from possible dangers. About returning to the Deck. Did you exmplain to them how some most strategies are Graveyard dependant more than they are Deck dependant?A card goes to Grave.. lets get it back later...A card goes to the Deck... I hope I get to draw it again this duel.. oh no, my Deck is 1 card fatter and the probability will be lower unless I cheated.. ^that's the quick pathetic excuse of an explanation that I can give you for now...... DARKPLANT RISING
I think removing is more easier. *explodes* But bouncing is also good. Mainly because of the manliness of: Spirits are based on Japanese Mythes, so all of them except Yata are awesome. And that reason?1. Yata Garasu is supposed to have three legs according to the mythes, but the card has only two. 2. Obvious power.
