My friend has an Infernity deck. I battled him, and he uses cards not from the OTK. I ask him why; he answers, "OTK's aren't fun, so I'm using normal Infernities."

 

What tier are Infernites without OTK?

I tried a control version with only 1 Launcher and it worked fairly well. Not even close to the OTK build, but fun.

Infernities that aren't OTK are not good. AvengerDAD doesn't count, since it is not really Infernities.

I imagne non-OTK Infernities run by trying to get to no cards in the hand and using their effects to win. I imagine Infernity Burn sucks, but Infernity Handless Control looks pretty fun. Too bad Infernity Barriers cost so much.

 

Is there any good way to run Infernity Burn? I was thinking about that because in two years I'm thinking about doing a cosplay of Kyosuke Kiryu and I wanted to have an accurate deck.

I find non-OTK Infernity to be a rather fun deck, and the type of Infernity build I used before I realized the OTK loop (I always knew the combo, just never really used it to full effect). Unfortunately, it's pretty stupid to deliberately NOT use the OTK if you can use it, so determined non-OTK Infernity users have to either cripple their deck or deliberately use less effective maneuvers.

 

Infernity Destroyer is the big hitter in non-OTK builds and a lot of the cards are used to keep a steady supply of Synchros, rather than whipping out 4 in one turn. Infernity Death Dragon is another somewhat key card.

 

Unfortunately, this build isn't nearly as strong as OTK, so I stopped using my Infernity deck because "OTKs are the only way to run it". I'll wait for the next banlist before modifying it.
