Dark Magician of Chaos

Beginning his life as a arcane master of dark magic, he invoked chaos of utter blackness to fight his enemies. He was unsubtled with this life however, and desired to become something more...he wished not to be bound by a ritual, he wanted to be a stand alone force that even the gods would fear.

he scoured the world for magic that could make him stronger, for allies that could manipulate and use to his advantage. He eventually found that magic, a tome that negated the cost of paying for dark magic with your lifeforce, or your soul. A psychotic smirk stretched across his face as he clutched the tome and continued on his journey.

Along the way, he discovered an obsolete machine, whose ammo costed the lives of living beings, but could kill the creators themselves. He took control of the machine and the tome, and declared war on the creators. He simply stated "I no longer need to pay for what I take, my life force will be infinite, and theirs shall become nothing. I will become the godslayer, the one who never dies." He then commanded the dark machine to fire him into the heart of his enemies. This was not enough to kill them, and his death seemed to be in vain. Then, from the twisted realm of nothingness, he took form again, and when he revived, he brought the magic back with him. His evil laughed echoed through the darkness of the remains of the world, as he commanded the machine to use his life force to burn at the heart of the beings of creation, and within a single moment, he could kill the being of creation, and remain alive, constantly escaping his prison of breathless darkness, with a deadly contraption at his side and a cost-defying tome in his grasp.

Later on in his years of conquest, he challenged the gods at their thrones, and he was completely undone, his dark spell that allowed him to escape the dimension of imprisonment was erased from the world, and as his punishment, he was erased as well. His contraptions remain in the world, for other twisted being to use to kill anyone who is the victim of their master.

People say Magician of Faith is not broken, only the spells that are broken and should be banned make it broken. Why is this broken then? I dont see anything really wrong with it. The RFG thing isnt broken so...

RFG thing is broken. With him being able to constantly loop Arms Hole (for Different Dimension Reincarnation) neither of of which are banworthy of course, he turns into a 2800 floater that can return itself on your next turn at the cost of discarding a card in your hand.

I see your point. Okay then.

To be honest, I don't see how his little trick with DDR is that big of a deal. For one thing it requires that you run both DDR and Arms Hole in the first place. Secondly it's broken up by any card that can spin or bounce, or by anything that will get rid of it once it's removed from play (eg, necroface). Sure, counterability doesn't imply balance, and all that, but it does give you a certain sense of perspective. When a loop requires a card in maintenance, prevents you from ever normal summoning, is relatively easily disrupted, all for a relatively large floater that has no other important effect, and can't be applied on your opponent's turn anyway - meaning that they have time to do their own thing once they deal with it, it's just not going to break the game.

Compare it to, say, Rekindling, which, with minimal setup, can for no cost put 2 synchros or 8000 damage on the table at the drop of a hat. Or even to treeborn, which at least can consistently generate advantage in combination with a monarch.

Though of course comparing him to other banworthy cards is clearly not much of an argument. ^.^

Ugh.

How long have you been playing YGO?

About two years, but quite a few people have been playing since the game began (I'm talking professional; not those retard kids who still play with the Yugi Starter Deck) and I have heard many a story about past metas.

So shut up.
