I think you missed the part where it only works when a monster that was Tribute Summoned Attacks. Who Tribute Summons these days anyway? Well apart from the obvious Monarch Decks and the like. Speaking of commons, a lot of them in booster packs are just useless or terrible fillers and for some reason, the good commons to me seem harder to get than the terrible filler ones. Figure that out. Time Psyduck Posted September 3, 2010 Report Share Posted September 3, 2010 I can't afford Mirror Force (at least not yet) so I use Threatening Roar or Waboku (which is a common, and stops the attacks, meaning I just have to find a way around their monsters next turn). Blast Held by a Tribute is too situational, since it relies on your opponent tribute summoning something, and a lot of decks don't do that (in the three decks I currently have I have 4 monsters I can Tribute Summon - one will almost certainly be special summoned by it's effect, and two others destroy traps with their effects) so you're unlikely to get it off unless you creature swap something you tributed. There's a lot of good commons, but because a lot of people apparently think that the holofoil cards are better, people prefer to have the rarer versions of the cards if there are any. A lot of staple cards are commons, as are many cards that are important to specific decks, but a lot of good cards are made rare because they're good/key to the deck, so people are after the good/key cards, which just happens to make Konami more money.
