HaouJudai
* Card Text "When this face-down card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, your opponent selects and executes 1 of the following effects: - Discard 1 random card in their hand. - Select 1 monster on their side of the field and destroy it." Why is this not being used more in this format? It seems you set a card(s) - end phase they start popping your back row like popcorn. I'm unsure if this would activate on the turn it is set but It does go off in the graveyard. I'm looking into it now and I can update this post later once I confirm my suspicion. This means you could have Royal Decree out and active on the field and this card doesn't care. Also it will attempt to resolve regardless - if they have no monsters they must discard. If they have neither then it's effect will disappear. Unfortunately StarGod Dragon can negate it if they choose to destroy a monster. - But more abuse with this would come from Double Cyclone or Kuraz or even Scrap Dragon. Puts a hurting on BRD abusers. -final note: You cannot negate Dark Coffin's activation with Dark Bribe/7 Tools and such (see Jinzo rulings)
Superdoopertrooper
It is a fairly decent card right now, but it doesnt really do anything to further your own strategy. There is also no room in a deck for this card, so I guess it wont see much play at all.

Buttercup
It's a really situational card. Book of Moon is just way more versatile.

HaouJudai
Update: This card will activate if it is MST'd or scrap dragon'd on the turn it is set
* This card is only activated if sent from the field to the Graveyard. There is no way to activate this card while it is Set on the field. * The effect of "Dark Coffin" is activated in the Graveyard, so its effect activates even if "Jinzo" is on the field, because "Jinzo" only applies to Trap Cards and their effects on the field. * Counter-Trap cards like "Seven Tools of the Bandit" cannot be used against "Dark Coffin". * "Dark Coffin" activates its effect even if it is destroyed on the same turn it was Set. * If "Banisher of the Light" is in play, then "Dark Coffin" does not activate its effect when destroyed, because it is not sent to the Graveyard. * You cannot choose an effect you cannot fulfill, so if you have no cards in your hand, you cannot choose to discard for "Dark Coffin". * "Dark Coffin" activates its effect even if you destroy it yourself.
Your opponent does make the choice but those are some pretty crappy choices. lolz yeah I think at best - this might be a side choice for some decks. Scraps could main it, but not so good in the mirror match.

burnpsy
Only good with Magical Hats. Even then, I prefer double Geartown or double Ojamagic.
