Legend Zero
Now I play Trad a WHOLE lot more then I do Advanced but when I do its always some sort of Spellcasters. This thread is to discuss the playability of the magic men/women/things this format and what is the best style or theme of Spellcasters. Now lets try to have a serious discussion. Anbu-of-Sand
Spellcasters tis my favorite archetype. Gravekeeper's be their closest chance to be Meta in my opinion. And perhaps that Magical Explosion / Tempest Magician OTK I though, love Chaos Village. Secret Village of the Spellcasters + Royal Decree can really screw some Decks over. It's either if your into Control, or just your basic Spell Counter Deck. I'm more into Village over Endymion myself. evilfusion
Dark End is probably the easiest and most powerful Synchro Gravekeepers can produce consistently. And it can give them even more fearsome control than they already have. I personally am fond of an Endymion control deck, focusing on disruption of S/Ts (Breaker), hand (Dark Red Enchanter), and monsters (Magical Marionette). Spellcasters do have a wide variety of options available to them with Spell Counters, like drawing with Royal Magical, ATK manipulation with Dark Red and Magical Marionette, burn with Tempest Magician, monster revival with Magical Exemplar, protection with Defender, the Magical Knight, and so on.
Yet, Konami fails a good amount of times when making Archetypes for this Type. Exodia - Good Gravekeeper's - Good Fortune Ladies - Decent Charmers - Bad Pikeru / Ebon - Bad Pretty sure that's it. Konami needs to make a LIGHT Spellcaster Archetype that can work well with Gravekeeper's, just so I can have a reason to run Chaos Sorcerer in them, -remembers Necrovalley- oh wait.... Bringerofcake
I don't really understand why all the hate on Chief. With Necrovalley out (which isn't hard), it's got the stats of a Monarch. It negates any advantage lost upon Summoning it, and allow for generic revival to be run in GKs. It also makes the generic revival dead if you don't have it and have Valley. It just generates streams of dead hands between the few where he actually lets you bypass Valley.
Agreed.
