So, I started a club at my school. It is slightly above babysitting, but they are all new or bad and they understand me to be the best in the area.

Tomorrow we're meeting. I'm thinking we'll start with archetypes vs random piles, but I do not know where to progress from there.

Card Advantage is kind of advanced, I don't want to start with that.

Good card vs Bad Card is kind of subjective, and almost ties into card advantage.

It's not like this is a particularly skilled game anyway, but anyone want to help me with my lesson plan? I am struggling to view the game from the perspective of someone bad.

Lesson 4: Archetypes make a well balanced deck
Lesson 5: Teh B& List

Well, Lesson 3 IS the deciding factor on how well someone wants to build a deck.
exactly... So many people I know want to make decks, and then I say "you can spend $30 on a good Machina Gadgets deck...", and then I hear the response "I don't have that money! now I'ma go buy a new generic shooter game."

The first lesson tell them to forget every move they saw in the anime. Give each one a guide of those that come with starter decks, or a DS with a copy of a recent YGO game, and make them read the tutorial, but would need to be paid for the second option, so that's a big no... Then tell them that Neo Spacians and Winged Kuriboh are not part of a E-Hero deck...

how can this be your gimmick for over a year and you still haven't found it old yet

OT: I'll agree with what Tronta said. Also show them Monarchs, which are another way of making card advantage important.

Give them the 2-Pronged Attack decreases card advantage by 2, and Pot of Greed increases card advantage by 1. That should give your students a firm understanding of card advantage (and say most effects that are good tend to have a card advantage gain of 0 or more.)

also, discuss why situational cards should not normally be used in Decks. (aeundgivemdisaungforepecmoosec)

Because I cant really resist the oh-so generic "noob-talk".
...Not sure why.

people don't even talk like that anymore. like, a year ago, your gimmick might have been relevant, albeit annoying, but hey it would have worked. now? it's just annoying. you're like those people who think lolcats are funny and say facepalm in real life and are socially awkward and carry around a box of cheez-its in your arm in a swan's-neck position and you wear a luigi hat and i'm not sure what your name is but you really creep me out / annoy me i mean how hard is it to make friends at a game shop for crying out loud get out of my locals please

You guys are so funny.
In fact, my appearence is nothing like how you described.
Also, I only "noob-talk" when "provoked".
Like how whats-his-face said something like that, so I figured I might as well reply with that, as its on the same topic of "Jaden iz teh best lololol"

hi family friendly
