this is no longer a debate, it's a left-wing agreement which i fully support but in all essence has kinda died.

I'm a Right-wing. Amethyst implied such. It's not pure left-wing.

When I asked why they acted homophobic in public despite having no problem with gays etc, their responses amounted to "Trolling the liberals for the lulz".
Even if that were the case, that would indicate that they were creating an environment hostile to LGBT people not because they actually disliked LGBT people but rather because, though they thought LGBT people were equal human beings and such, tormenting them seemed amusing. That's arguably even worse than flat bigotry. At least regular bigots think they're doing the right thing/what God wants/whatever; these monsters attack people who they know are perfectly innocent because they think it's funny.

Surely you know that right-wing, as considered by most people, means you are almost all the way to the right of the political spectrum. Right-wing people are generally retards (like Glenn Beck), and you'd call yourself moreso moderate or just right, not right-wing. Yes, it does make a difference.

Associating Islam with terrorism is stupid.

Associating Christianity with racism is stupid.

Yet a number of people who rant about the first one are guilty of the second.

Who associates Christianity with racism? I associate many Christians (at least the extremists) with religious intolerance and discrimination, and general stupidity, but when has anybody ever said anything about racism?

Eh, there's a fair case to be made for a good portion of Islamophobia to be either based in or a code for racism against dem brown arab peepulz. The [s]conservatives[/s] reactionaries certainly use thin veils like that for their other prejudices.

Fine. Explain why it's OK to associate Christianity with general stupidity, but when anyone says anything about Muslims, they're a giant bigot.

Are you able to read?

I never associate Christianity, or for that matter, any religion, with general stupidity. I associate religious extremists with general stupidity, because it is frankly true.

Every religious has their group of extremists that are generally stupid and do everything in the name of God/Yahweh/Allah/Brahma/FSM, and their actions clearly dictate that they are worthy of being considered stupid. And in any rational and logical person's mind, they are stupid.

I never said all Christians were stupid, or that all religious people were stupid, or that all religions should be eradicated and their followers put in a hole and spat on by bystanders. I did, however, say that religious extremists were stupid. Do you now see the difference?

Interesting fun fact:

Upon asking local people known to be right-wing, their views are much more tolerant than would be apparent. When I asked why they acted homophobic in public despite having no problem with gays etc, their responses amounted to "Trolling the liberals for the lulz".

So yeah. Not that it's representative of the majority, but it's entirely possible a lot of the left-wing people are just feeding some epic trolling.

I'm an envisioning a hillbilly type with a two-foot wide neck spraying machine-gun fire into a gay pride march, before taking off a mask and revealing Lelouch underneath. Make it Light if you can't be bothered to remember any anime more obscure than Death Note.

Oh, do they vote that way, too?

Nein. The KKK is no longer to be in any way associated with us. The past, sure, but there were plenty of Northern Klan members too.

And I'm sure plenty of Muslims feel exactly the same way. "Hey, there are some people from our group who do this, but they don't represent our entire group."

Personally, any Religion Group can hold members of anything. It's not the overall choice of the Religion itself(In Most Cases, at least. But this is NOT one of those few.), but the overall of a single person and what they think is correct. When somebody defects to one thing or another, it isn't the whole group converts. Just the one. Nobody of any religious group should be stereotyped by what just a single person does. It's just a nature of us Humans to do this, and sometimes we idiots(And I use this term very loosely) go too far with this.

I trully dont understand why any belief system needs a good name... If im correct when Muhammed took power in the city where he preached, he amassed an army, took over neighboring cities, and forced them to convert to islam... Every religion has done something different or "Wrong" some time in history...

I used to differentiate between "Extremists" and "Normal" religious people so much to the point where i dont care anymore... I dont believe that every muslim is some Jihadist Terrorist bent on bringing back the 12th Haman through chaos and disorder, I just dont feel like differentiating the two anymore if they both believe in Allah they are muslim, if they both believe in God or Iahova they are christian whether they take it too far or not...

that is wrong.
after hijra (the migration to medina from mecca) and after a few years of defending medina from the meccans, muhammad decided to take over mecca without casualties. his army built a fire around the city and with about thousands of men, they rode on horses into mecca, for intimidation to not resource to fighting. and no fighting was made. he wasn't proud either. when they were riding in the city, he hung his head down in shame while riding. basically he took back medina without fighting.
