You can't meet a person that meets all of your dreams. Thats how some abusive relationships start the man trying to force the woman to become something they are not. You might find a person that meets some of your dreams, but not all. If you are basing your dream girl off her looks thats a fail. Personality is way more important the looks cause I don't want to be married to a total Bi#%&.

Thanks. Most girls in anime's have Blunt Fringes. And those qualities would be nice too. I don't want her to be completely crazy about me. A good education would be nice, along with political views. I would like her to be a Democrat since they're the good guys compared to the money-hungry republicans.

You will never find your dream girl. There's no one in the world that will meet your every preference. You can search and search and search until you're old and gray, but you'll just end up lonely and disappointed; I guarantee you that. I'm going to give you one piece of advice that I've learned to live by... Stop searching for your "dream girl" or "your perfect match" because you won't find her if you're searching relentlessly. I honestly believe that no one knows who their dream girl/guyl is, what they're like or what they look like until you actually MEET that person and get to know them inside and out. You may sit here and preach that your dream girl/guy likes this or likes that or looks this way or that way, but you may meet someone in the future, completely different than you imagine, who turns out to be the love of your life.

Just be patient, man. What are you? Somewhere between the ages of 12 - 18? You have your whole life ahead of you.

I can't understand how you think you will find the 'perfect' girl on a dating website. Such people do not exist in life anyway, but you think if they did they would be looking for boyfriends on the Internet? I've looked on dating websites, and they are (mostly) a lot of money and no end product, as most of their users are far from perfect, hence why they can't hook up in person, yet expect they can find their Mr/Mrs Perfect as well and reject people who aren't Brad Pitt.

In regard you asking for help writing a personal ad for a dating site, you're asking the people of this site? Just write about yourself I guess, write yourself up with as much positive spin as possible. But if you're 25 and you can't express yourself like so, without coming across as if you're a kid, there is no help I can give you.

That's ridiculously vague. So how about this:

If you can't figure out a good, authentic, decent personality, just make it exactly the same as yours. What are your hobbies, what are your dreams, hopes, fears, etc etc.

Hmm if that helps, the dress the woman is wearing is a Qipao and the hair is almost a hime cut. Looks more like a regular straight hairstyle but if it has blunt side-bangs it's that kind of cut.

One piece of advice though, it's good to have an image in mind on what kind of woman would work with you but don't try to get too fixated on it. It's mostly an ideal, an imagination... I think it's going to be fairly easy to find a kind and tolerant woman around that age who might even be a bit of a geek or at least tolerate your hobby, but chances are that she won't have the big boobs like the girl on the picture. :lol:

IMO you could try going to conventions, about anime or video games, I'm pretty sure that you'll find someone who has a similar lifestyle there.

I don't think anyone at all implied he was looking for a girlfriend on YCM.

On an unrelated note, why would anyone come to YCM to find a girlfriend? That's like going to a petting zoo to find a math tutor. It's just not gonna happen.

It was a reply to this, at least this and the first post sounded like it to me. But after he mentioned some other dating site I understood it myself, I don't think people on this site are going to offer him decent advice on how to make a "looking for" post on a dating website though.<_<
And I'm completely aware that coming to any Internet forum other than a dating site to find a girlfriend is stupid and wouldn't happen but considering the crap people tend to post especially in General, including fake pictures and imaginative boyfriends/girlfriends, it wouldn't surprise me anymore.

On a sidenote, it's very probable that your democrat tolerant geek girlfriend isn't going to have an Asian/anime haircut or dressing style, you know that right?:S
