Why did Konami take "Attacking" out of the name? WHY?!

When your opponent declares a direct attack, you can discard this card to end the Battle Phase.

[spoiler=It's a story]
Once there was a mighty emissary, Gorz, the bringer of Darkness. When his allies seemingly had nothing left, and his enemies attempted to finish them off, he would emerge and defeat them. He would summon to his side his wife, Kaien. The stronger their enemy, the stronger she could be. The power of the Emissaries was too much, and the god Konami struck with their mighty hammer, weakening them. They wanted to have power over the world, so they had a child to help them. He at first seemed weak. But he could stop all opponents attacks, and bring himself forth to be used as fodder after his job was done. His name was Battle Fader. Following the success of Fader, the Emissaries decided to have one more child. But the child seemed a mistake. He. like his brother, had no attack or defensive power. He wasn't a dark creature like his parents and sibling. Gorz and Kaien cast him off, to die as useless. But Battle Fader wouldn't give up on his brother. He taught his brother all he knew about his trade. And the younger of the siblings, while never achieving the same power as Fader, was nonetheless a good monster. And for those that need him, he is much easier to find then his family. He was the Swift Scarecrow.

Um, why hasn't anyone posted that awesome pic with Gorz and Kaien?

Because people don't occasionally seach up Gorz / Kaien art :/ First time I even heard of Kaien was in this thread, only to find out it's just a card in the Manga. By the way, what the hell is with this card's art? Just look at the artwork for it.

Pink Shades
Brown Scarecrow Hat
Metal Body in the Shape of a Snake
Some Messed up Shoulder Pads / Chest Plate
Gold Belts in the Center
Scythe as a Tail
Rocket Jets as it's Butt
Spiky Green Hair
Holding Wooden Sticks

I mean Konami really needs to learn how to well, make sense.

JUST a card in the Manga? Pluto, Vision Heroes, Masked Heroes, etc. Would like a word with you. (Look up "The Suppression Pluto". 2 words: Epicly Broken)

-Searches up The Suppression Pluto-

....

Why doesn't Konami make cards like these in the TCG? D: It's better than half of the crappy cards Konami releases from their Packs. Even though it is, in your own words, epically broken. Also, I edit my previous post to talk about the card's screwed up artwork.

Konami is a product of Japan.

In Japan, penises defecate.
In Japan, robots can blow up moons with the power of courage.
In Japan, erotic films involving women vomiting on/into each other make millions.
In Japan, machines sell used panties to men who deserve to die alone.
In Japan, I can spend 1300 Yen on a video game that gives me a live lobster if I win.

Konami doesn't need have to make sense. It's Konami. It does what it wants. It and it's mother country are forces that need no understanding in order to exist.
