Catterjune
I don't think they should be mandatory. Darwinism at it's finest IMO. Though I suppose the city needs to make money ticketing SOMETHING. >_>

Marisa Kirisame-ze
All it takes is a short stretch and one click to save your life in a car crash. People who chose not to put it on really need more common sense.
Dark
Should be mandatory in the front and passenger seats; should be mandatory for all children in car seats; should not be mandatrory for any "kid not in a car seat" sitting in the back seats. It should be recommended, but we all know that means it isn't mandatory and no one will do it.

Icy
I put one on whenever I enter a car, even if it's down the block. Just feels weird not to, even if I know I'm going to be safe. Better to be safe than sorry.

Clair
I think there isn't much of a case against the use of seat belts. >_> ... Except if they get jammed when you're trying to escape your vehicle, and that's pretty rare. One should always wear a seat belt when driving with me, anyways. xD

I've been in a wreck before - and that seatbelt kept me from flying through the front windshield. Seriously, put the damn thing on. It's not hard. I don't care if it's uncomfortable. It's a lot more uncomfortable to be injured in a car crash by not taking a necessary precaution.

I agree that it shouldn't be regulated, but I can see their reasoning and don't exactly mind that they do. It's rarely enforced anyways, at least where I live.
