Brandon Michael Geren
So Ser Warjacksworth posted that Mask of Restrict is the reason Frognarchs aren't tier 1 and it reminded me of a topic I was gonna post. Things like this example are what it's about. Here we assume that Ser is correct (ITT: it doesn't matter if he is). Because Mask of Restrict exists, Frognarchs aren't played. Because Frognarchs aren't played, you stop siding Mask of Restrict. Because Mask of Restrict isn't sided anymore, you can play Frognarchs after awhile and top. Keep in mind that I am not directly saying that Frognarchs would be tier 1 if Mask of Restrict didn't exist. Nor am I even implying it. I'm only assuming it to prove a point. I am also not saying or implying that Frognarchs are bad.

Guest PikaPerson01
I know I normally ban and warn people for saying cool story bro but here I feel saying such a thing would be entirely apt.
evilfusion
I must have missed your point somewhere. Cards fall in and out of favor all the time. That's how the meta works.

-Berserker-
People stopped using Gryphon's Feather Duster long time ago. HFD should return in any moment... And now that Salamence is Uber, people would use Dragonite instead, even if that would make most other people use Blissey in their team, to counter Dragonite, so the Dragonite user would be in disadvantage and prefer to use some other pokemon instead. I don't play pokemon so just skip this part... Too late. Yes. I used Macro until everybody had Imperial Iron Wall in their side decks. Then I changed my deck. People still have those cards in their side just in case, but as I improve my deck, they'll start siding cards to counter this new deck, probably dropping the Iron Walls because there are no other Macro users around. Then, in the moment they expect it the less, POW! Macro again in their faces.

King of Nothing
The topic didn't change my life. The meta doesn't loop, it just gets banned over and over again. Chaos was the meta, remember? Now it's so many different things because of the Archetype spam Konami has thrown at us. I miss no archetypes T_T
Mister Sir
Mask of Restrict was sided when Frog Monarchs were topping and it didn't really stop them from topping. Frog Monarchs are not good this format because Monarchs aren't very good this format, and because Substitoad got banned. Also, Cool Story, Bro. Black W Mage
This is exactly why It's funny to use a deck with almost no traps right now, just because everyone is running Trap Stun.

evilfusion
@Evilfusion:no "No" what? You never conveyed a point in your first post and I pointed it out, while commenting that cards will be forever be falling in and out of favor as more decks rise and fall. It's how the meta works. Decks rise to top, cards get limited/new cards released, decks lose power, they stop getting played. Cards get unlimited because their power is lessened due to new releases. Deck makes slight comeback.

Brandon Michael Geren
Yay lots of replying to do. :D @Slayer:No. @Pika:... I guess that works. @Byakk:I agree completely. @Ghostmyth:I don't remember. I wasn't playing that format. Srsly. My regdate is nearly the same time as when I started playing this game. @Luxord:@Line1: Didn't say it did... Or imply. So that line is completely pointless. @Line2: Thanks for the obvious and not reading the topic. @Line3: Thanks. I really needed that. It makes me feel like I did something right. @RWM:Yes. @King Crouton:Wat? I kind of see how you would think this is related to the topic, but it really isn't. :S @evilfusion:I'm talking about within the same format... @Pika again:Exactly. @Evangelion:Kind of. If something is really broken to begin with and couldn't become un-broken with a small counter. That's not what this topic is about. This topic is about what this topic is about, which is not that. @Crab Helmet:Okay. @Ser Warjacksworth:I didn't define tier 1. Yay yay. @Alfred:Thanks. I like it when people like my stories. Altho it really wasn't a story... The thread still appears to be going on... I didn't confuse most of the people. Apparently there's a limit to the number of quotes per post.
