Effect is laughable easy to pull off, even outside of Infernities, especially you can set your Spell/Trap without fear now that Heavy Storm is gone.
And it gives decks with DARK Tuners a reason to run a 3000 beater right of bat that isn't named Red Dragon the Terrible.

Love the card, but greatly prefer the original name, to the point where I only use the original name. Infernity Death Dragon.

DARK Tuners are pretty easy to come by, especially since Infernities are all DARK. The effect even works on f/d monsters, but the damage in that case will be 0, as it applies the ATK at the moment of destruction, not in the graveyard. Also means that ATK modifiers will affect the damage dealt, which is nice.

Then again, I think the only reason it requires a DARK Tuner is because it was supposedly based on Hundred Eyes Dragon

Either way, [s]Doom[/s]Death Dragon's effect is very nice.

Let me tell you how I see things regarding Synchros:

Level 5: X-Saber Wayne and Ally of Justice Catastor; both are situational, but they are usually good/useful in most of the cases and they are.. just level 5
Level 6: There's Goyo and Brionac, both of them are incredibly useful in lots of situations and there's also Tempest Magician, for some situational stuff
Level 7: There's Black Rose Dragon, which is useless unless you Summon it in a disadvantageous situation and Arcanite Magician, which is useless unless you Summon it in a disadvantageous situation
Level 8: There's Colossal Fighter, Stardust Dragon, Light/Dark End Dragon, Red Dragon Archfiend and plenty to choose from
Level 9: Mist Wurm is great: If you're in disadvantage, you can Summon it and BAM! Otherwise, you can just Summon another Syncrho instead or just summon it for the nuke

So adding another level 8 Synchro is just like an overkill to me.. In addition, I usually main Twilight Lightsworns, so when I saw DARK Tuner I was like "yay" and then I counter stars and was like *sad face*

It is a choice, but not one I would make unless I was running Warrior Toolbox.

Gaia Knight also exists. Granted, it's not that good, but being a generic Synchro Monster and having a solid ATK makes it playable if your deck spawns Level 6 Synchros.

Oh, and nice going. You completely ignored the existence of Scrap Archfiend, BW - Armor Master and Ancient Sacred Wyvern, Scrap Archfiend being popular due it's genericness, having alot of ATK and supports an archtype, while Armor Master has been famous forever thanks being summonable by a Tuner so powerful, that it was splashed into ever deck back then when DARK decks were popular, and Ancient Sacred Wyvern is gaining more attention thanks to Effect Veiler being mained instead of being sided.

Then, Airbellum, Psychic Pifetrancer and Ancient Fairy Dragon also exists, but nobody cares about those anymore.

Colossal Fighter is only being run at 1.
Stardust Dragon is only being run at 1, because the game is in a state where removal doesn't use the term "destroy" that often anymore.

Dark End Dragon is only being run at 1, since 1 copy is all you need.
Red Dragon Archfiend is really, really bad. The only reason it is even being ran anymore is by Quick-Draw because Debris Dragon requires to Synchro for a Dragon monster. But even then, I barely see him being summoned at all.

The other credible choices that are generic are Scrap Dragon, which allows you to blow up stuff, and Thought Ruler Archfiend, which is immune to stuff like Dimensional Prison, Compulsory and Book of Moon and wins games that are in overtime. These 2 are also being only ran at 1, or even sometimes, Thought Ruler isn't being ran at all.

Black-Winged Dragon is only good against burn, which is really, really bad.
And the other generic LV8 are... uhm... yeah >__>

So far from what I have seen, this is the standard line up of any deck I have seen so far, both cusual and competive.
1x Mist Wurm
1x Stardust Dragon
1x Colossal Fighter
1x Scrap Dragon
1x Black Rose Dragon
1x Goyo Guardian
1x Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier
1x Ally of Justice Catastor

There's still room for 7 other Synchros/Fusions of your own personal choice. And just because you have it in your Extra Deck, doesn't mean you always have to summon it. If you're running DARK tuners (in this case, Plaguespreader in your Twilight Deck), then how can not have room for this thing?

Having 3000 ATK isn't the only reason to run Infernity Doom Dragon. And if you're running a good Gigaplant Deck, your only Gemini monster is going to be Gigaplant, which most people only play 2 of them, so it's very unlikely you're going to pull of it's S/T destruction anyway. So before you can even pull of the revival of Black Brutdrago, enjoy your Normal monster that doesn't benefit from Normal support. Altrought on the bright side, it can't backfire unlike RDA.
