Guardian Eatos

Recommended Posts

Its equip effect is meh. Its best use is in a RFG deck, or one with a lot of graveyard management and low monsters. You want to Special Summon this. Being level 8, you may want to use Trade-In.

Easily the best Guardian monster because it doesn't require an Equip. Can be a 4000 beater if you do run equips, but I can't really think of any you'd want to part with, except maybe DDR, if you're running Dimension Eatos.

inb4 anyone starts complaining about the lore

If you have no monsters in your Graveyard, you can Special Summon this card from your hand. You can send 1 Equip Spell Card equipped to this card to the Graveyard to select and remove from play up to 3 monsters in your opponent's Graveyard. This card gains 500 ATK for each monster removed by this effect, until the End Phase.

It works well in its own deck called "Dimensional Eatos" where it revolves around beatsticks that are easy to summon, often using dimensional fissure and skill drain. Overall, its a good card that is balanced because it doesn't nuke like many other monsters that summon themselves from the hand, like DAD and JD did. However, the decks that run it now are no longer even tier 2, therefore this card is not used as often anymore.

Anybody else wish they made Dreadscythe?

OT: Decent-ish card but lategame its horrid. The equip effect is only added because of the anime, using it for real would be a mistake.

though it's irl equip effect is a nerfed version of the anime equipped effect
