Stardust's Sparkle

Recommended Posts

It's about time they made a card to Synchro Summon from the Graveyard without a ridiculous drawback (like Vayu...). Now, this card lets you sync 2 Synchros with the same level immediately. (And it doesn't even require a Tuner!)
Anyways, discuss this card (and its somewhat un-Yugiohish picture...)

Select 1 Dragon-Type Synchro Monster in your Graveyard. Remove from play monster(s) from your Graveyard, except the selected monster, whose combined Level(s) is equal to the Level of the selected monster, and Special Summon that monster.

Well, it's not considered a Synchro Summon, but it's still an excellent card, letting you use any number of monsters, with no Tuner/non-tuner restrictions, and there are no drawbacks like effect negation or inability to attack, and the summoned monster doesn't get removed from play when it dies. Odds are, the tuner/non-tuners are still in your Graveyard, unless you used Tokens, so the cost is usually very small. Dragon Synchros are some of the best Synchros in the game, so the ability to revive one is amazing.

Can definitely see play in Assault Mode or Dragon-based Synchro decks, and this makes Shooting Star Dragon and Scar-Red a bit easier to bring out.

Yes, it is about time they made something like this.
As a Spell, it has a bit of protection, since most S/T Negation cards are usually focused on Traps.
It can revive a Dragon-Type Synchro, which, as evilfusion said, are some of the most powerful in the game. Stardust, Trishula, Black Rose, Triden Dragion... The list goes on and on.
And the requirements are only a small price to pay, along with no drawbacks.

Truly a worthy semi-staple among Synchro users.

Also, as evilfusion pointed out, this card bypasses Shooting Star and Red Nova Dragon's ridiculous summoning conditions. :D
Though personally, I would never revive a Black Rose with this...since I don't actually run plants...

Not having to remove Tuners will supply Red Nova with its boost, and Black Rose can nuke the field, then be revived for almost nothing.
Or revive another Dragon-Type.

Just to double check...

Zextra, you do realize this is a Monster Reborn for GRAVEYARD Synchros, right? Both your posts have indicated to me you think it's a Synchro card. It doesn't Synchro Summon or Summon from the Extra Deck, it revives Graveyard Dragon Synchros in exchange for RFGing Graveyard monsters of the same level.

The only way this helps Shooting Star and Red Nova is you can bring back Stardust or Red Dragon that was summoned/destroyed earlier in the duel, making the setup not as challenging.

It doesn't bypass.
You still have to properly Synchro said [awesome card X] first, THEN you can revive it.

However, evilfusion, if you were to get out a Red Nova or Shooting Star, and it died, then you could bring it back.
Except... You should win by the time that happens...

Though the most likely way that RND or SSD would be defeated is something like D-Prison or something....

Since this card comes out in the STORe pack, I'm somewhat tempted to run 1 or 2 copies in my Scrap deck.
It seems hilarious that if they destroy a Scrap Dragon, you could revive something with its effect, and then use this to revive Scrap Dragon again.
(Mostly because Scraps seem like it would be hilarious to run this card in)

Either that, or Compulsitory Evac.

How do you get rid of Shooting Star Dragon? Remove it, bounce it, or run it down with card effects.
How do you get rid of Red Nova Dragon? Remove it, or bounce it.

Hence why Red Nova Dragon is better than Shooting Star. Even if they didn't have the "remove this card to negate an attack" effect, Red Nova would still be far powerful than Shooting Star.

Hmm...

So, I can remove any random level 8 monster in my graveyard to bring back RDA/SD? Did I read that right?
Because if so, that'd be kinda cool... It's a good card for mid-game to late game.

Yup, your reading skills were properly applied.

No restriction on number of monsters, no restriction on Tuner/non-tuner, no requirements aside from the monsters' levels must equal the monster you revive, and it's only for Dragon Synchros.
