Ban Monster Reborn and Dark Hole, you should know why.

Limit gateway, to not kill six samurai but to make them less broken. Lowering consistency makes a deck less broken.

Semi-limit Six Spamurais United, its only really harmful when used in combo with the gateway.
Banning Treeborn Frog really wouldn't hurt the top tier decks, perhaps put it back to 2. I would say any more would hurt monarch decks and such too much. Amphibians in general are in enough trouble worldwide, they don't need even more hating against them.
Perhaps semi-limit Black Rose dragon and Debris Dragon. Dandylion is fine where it is, and leave lonefire at 2 to not kill them. Better to slow down and not kill decks.
Semi-limit Royal Tribute for laughs perhaps? Gravekeeper's are mean when they pull it off first turn, but what's the chances [s]and a lot of people in tournaments cheat by stacking, what else is new[/s]?
Semi-limit Hyperion, Leyvaten, and Machina Fortress. Because Konami knows it would be good business sense to hurt easy to build tier 2 decks and not expensive tier 1 decks, because those expensive cards require more packs to be sold to get them.

MST to 3 please.
Pot of Duality is used by practically everything, hitting it really won't change much but make a bunch of kids mad about it. Wait for it to be re-released as a promo, [i]then[/i] semi-limit it or limit it.

Cold Wave (Mostly when my opponent activates its GG for them)
Reborn (Yeah sets up OTKS)
Dark Hole (This hurts your opponent bad aspecially when they used up most of their hand just to summon some powerful monsters and then they lose to this)
Treeborn Frog (Because no opponent wants to see a monarch being summoned against them every turn)

Limited :
Darksoul (X-Sabers are tier 1 and this card being limited could hurt them a bit)
Magician of Faith (Even if it was limited it wouldnt see much play so I guess it could even be semi limited?)
Gateway (Six sams need to be hurt)
Royal Tribute (GKs need to be hurt)
Dandylion (It could even be banned)

Semi :
D - Draw (Should be at 2, since most other tele dad cards are limited/semi limited tele dad wouldnt come back.)
Warning (The new bth)
Black Rose (IMO it should be limited but it can stay at 2)
GK Recruiter (Sangan for gks)

Unlimited :
MST (Without heavy storm/dark hle this can be at 3)
Necro Gardna (Doesnt see much play anyway so it can come back at 3)
Gold Sarco (Doesnt see much play anyway so it can come back at 3 aswell)
BTH (Warning replaced BTH so BTH can be back at 3.)

Too bad, Brionac actually gives Crystal Beasts an infinite draw loop... It's among the main reasons why the deck mains Plaguespreader. So you can say that you are taking action against the deck, no? :P.

I think Rescue Cat can go to 1 if you get rid of Darksoul... I don't think it's much a threat now, mainly because the main engine for SSing beasts is Hamster (Ryko is among the most popular targets, which will not work with Rescue Cat). The main cards that make this broken are probably the Lv6 generic synchros and maybe the Naturia synchros. get rid of those and it should be safe.

Also, opinions on Fishborg blaster? It is the only tuner I'm aware of that can revive itself constantly within a turn.

Lol. Rescue Cat is staying where it is on the banlist for a long time.

@Monkey, Rekindling won't get hit because it is seeing no play this format. The Flamvell engine sucks this format.

BTW, Gusta FTK doesn't exist in TCG yet, and when that happens, just ban Mind Master and E-Tele will be fine @2.

I was going to cut and paste which ones specifically and refute them, but I think posts have a character limit, not to mention I didn't feel like spending an hour or so correcting everyone.

When creating a banlist, you're not supposed to base your decisions entirely on the current format. You should also think ahead, to the format you will create. When Treeborn Frog, Six Samurai Stuff, Blackwing Stuff, Infernities, and all other decks are nerfed, there's no reason to think Rekindling wouldn't come back.


As for my own opinions:

Banned:
Black Whirlwind.

At one, it turns any normal summon into a free search. It's an endless +1 machine at the "cost" of a normal summon every turn. I'm sure some idiot there is thinking "derp, MST and Dust Ternader and Breaker!" but I'd rather not play in a meta so polarized that you MUST have these cards or you will lose. Also, just because a card can be countered doesn't mean it should remain legal. Especially since every single card in the game can be countered. (Solemn, etc) Not to mention Blackwings are already a pretty powerful archetype and don't really need it.

Ban cold wave, ban dark hole, semi black rose, and keep reborn at 1. Cold wave and dark hole help people set up otks they don't deserve. Black rose nukes the field, but it's also rather weak iirc. Reborn should stay at one because imo there are plenty of ways to negate it.
