One thing though is that Mass Driver is never used in any decks EXCEPT to OTK. I mean think about it. How many OTKs are there where Mass Driver is part of the combo yet everything else around it gets banned? I think Mass Driver should go once and for all o.x
Those were my thoughts on it. Just wondering what others think about this card and weather or not it should just die or would it just cause people to use Cannon Soldier instead? At least Summoning Cannon Soldier would take more work than simply activating Mass Driver. Would banning this solve all the problems that caused other *possibly* innocent cards to get banned or limited, or would it start a chain reaction to banning all sorts of cards that tribute monsters to deal damage? Sephiroth_The_Legend
but often, in the case where the parts are banned rather than the cause, the parts often serve more than one function. see Substitoad for example. it's a Grave-fueling machine.... Mass Driver only made the OTK possible.
darkwolf777
Well, yes, I agree with that. Substitoad not having a "Once per turn" tagged onto it was a very poor design choice for it.
DARKPLANT RISING
Frogs can still OTK. Not really consistant, but it can. So they should just ban both this and Sub.
Azuh
This card isn't bannable by itself though. Unfortunately, its other cards that promote its heavy usage

Unfortunately, its other cards that promote its heavy usage
Yes, but F/OTKs are the only times this card ever gets used. If this card gets banned, the other things that will change are that there are fewer F/OTKs. Last I checked, FTKs are bad for the game and easy to use OTKs are bad for the game. TheTurtleOnceCalledGod
It should have been long ago, along with many of the FTK key cards.
burnpsy
Just kill this and we'll see less in the way of FTKs and OTKs from summon loops. If the summon loops have other purposes, let people try those without this card causing FTKs before saying it's broken.
evilfusion
I'm really skeptical about Mass Driver's banworthiness. Almost every OTK/FTK loop is because of Summon loops. Substitoad was the biggest problem with Frog FTK, since it could quite literally mill every Frog from your deck, which Ronintoadin could then abuse. The fact Ronintoadin was not given a restriction on Tributing it was really stupid, but Substitoad's lack of "once per turn" was similarly stupid. The OTK/FTK with Dark Magician of Chaos and Dimension Fusion...go figure. I guess Mass Driver vs Cannon Soldier is similar to my arguments about Infernity Mirage vs Infernity Launcher. Being a Spell makes Mass Driver easier to use and more consistent.
Canadian
This isn't the problem. The ridiculous combos that allow for infinite swarming are. But, if this got banned, maybe we'd see less stupid OTK's.
