Teacher: Okay, any current events today?

Me: *raises hand*

Teacher: *sigh* Okay, watcha got for us?

Me: A bomb was detonated at a Russian airport, I think around 16 people were killed, and in response the president of Russia wants higher security.

Teacher: Yeah, I've heard of that, I bet another reason that guy wants higher security is to keep tabs on everyone.

Me: Or they could be trying to prevent this from happening again?

Teacher: Possibly, or he could have asked his KGB friend to help?

Me: What? Putin? Alright, then how do you know that 9/11 wasn't done by the government?

Teacher: Hold up, that was a act of war by Al Qaida and why would our government want to do that? Specicifically, what government? The FDA? The FBI? The CIA? Who?

Me: Perhaps it was the Bush administration? They've been rearing to go to war with Iraq and 9/11 was a perfect chance to convince people. Even though I don't see the connection between 9/11 and Iraq.

Teacher: I'm not going into that. But why is this even news worthy? The Russians are always messed up, look at their history, they got Stalin into power for Christ's sake!

Me: Ahh, but you forget, the people chose Stalin because he went and grapped hold of it because he was chosen by Lenin to be the next leader.

Teacher: What are you talking about? Stalin KILLED LENIN WITH HIS BARE HANDS!

Me: Unless you haven't read the released documents from Russia, Lenin asked Stalin to put him out of his misery.

Idiot: Yeah, probably cause it sucked there. I mean come on. If the Russians are stupid enough to elect him, they gotta be REALLY stupid.

Teacher: (Generic name), they didn't elect him, he stole power from a guy who was a radical.

Me: Yeah, since who wouldn't want to go with the guy who claims he's gonna fix the government and economy. Oh wait, Obama, Hitler, and most of our presidents.

Teacher: Are you actually comparing Hitler to our presidents? A nutjob who killed MILLIONS OF PEOPLE to George Washington? I can't believe what I'm hearing!

Me: Well if you'd ju-

Teacher: How could you do this? Hitler was a ruthless dictator who did nothing but harm!

Me: Okay forget it then. But why wouldn't a bomb going off in Russia be important?

Idiot: Cause their Russians, their all the way down near the south pole.

Me: Are you kidding me? South pole?

Idiot: Aren't they?

Teacher: No, but their near the North pole.

Idiot #2: What, they think Santa or some s*** like that is there?

Me: Let's just continue. So why Mr. (Government Studies teacher)?

Teacher: Cause their government is ran by nothing but crooks. Nothing came out of Russia and mainly because their too scared to stand up against the government. Their oppressed by provety, fear, and uneducation. For god's sake, they got mafia and KGB up in their government!

Me: Oh yeah, since fighting 80% of WWII, making Tetris, the AK series, the Nutcracker suite, and Swan Lake doesn't count.

Teacher: What? They never fought that much battles in WWII, Tetries was a waste of time, they HELPED terrorism by making guns, and those two were NEVER made in Russia. I think they were made in like the U.K. or somewhere.

Me: Ugh.... Fine. Never mind then.

Teacher: *continues class*

Imagine a class under him.

I always get into fights with him about topics like abortion, countries that are claiming to modernize their military and yet he claims we can still take ALL of them on, and the such.

Seriously, I'm about to quit doing current events because of him.

The only reason now is because it takes up class time and I can get to lunch.

Overall, he's a decent teacher and that's all.

Overly patriotic? Give your teacher the email [email protected] I'm going to fix your teacher. He believes what your media says. Does anyone else here other than me have access to arc.nasa.gov ? Anybodu? Nope. Your gov't doesn't care who they give federal jobs to as long as they do a good job. The al quaida that crashed the plane were natural born, trained by the CIA, and tracked like the rest. I can go on but I will stop.

Admittedly, your teacher is a bigoted idiot and not worthy to teach children with such poisonous views. However, you used a ridiculous conspiracy theory to argue your point. Also, the teacher is right in saying that the Russian government is corrupt, but the KGB doesn't exist any more.

I actually don't believe in that theory, considering there would have hardly any thing to gain from destroying a major economic center. I was trying to say that how do we know that our government might try the same thing as what my teacher was saying about Putin and the bomb.

All that steel and concrete would REALLY stop the plane.

You should have brought up how the US helped put Rafael Leónidas Trujillo Molina, a Dominican Republic dictator, into power. Also I'm not sure how accurate you saying Russia fought 80% of WWII. However, the Russians played a MAJOR roll in the victory over germany. Hell, even cracked talked about it in an article from not that long ago. Also your teacher is an idiot for only thinking of Russia for it's past 100 or so years of history.
