Instant Stardust Dragon!

A few decent targets for this card (Icarus, Mirror Force, Torrential, Dark Hole) and a 1-turn Stardust effect is pretty good.

Why isn't this played more?[/center]

People seem to use 141 destruction instead nowadays, and usually you can recover more from a dark hole than from a heavy storm (thank goodness it was banned). If you are going to fall to one of the multi-destruction cards, make sure you have a back-up plan, or better yet, wait until you know your opponent cannot do something to stop your assault.

Pretty much this. If it weren't for the once only Stardust effect, it'd be used a lot more.

This card is amazing, verging on broken. You forgot a number of important cards that this can stop and gain huge +'s from:
- Gladiator Beast Gyzarus
- Judgement Dragon
- Celestia
- Black Rose Dragon

This card alone is responsible for making field clearers and cards that destroy more than 1 card at a time a huge risk to play.

And here's the real kicker: in our current format (and future formats to come), if you need to push for game, you can do a swarm, activate dark hole or torrential on the last summon you can make, and then chain this to get an extra 2500 beatstick for game (which can also negate a destruction effect if need be). Its busted. Should be at least in every side deck at 2.

-Glads aren't doing well.
-LS haven't been meta for a loooong time.

People normally run only a very few cards that nuke the field. This card doesn't have many uses, and will be a dead draw more often than not. But, of course, if you negate a Dark Hole with it while you have Formula Synchron out...

[b]I've seen some run Seven Tools although mostly Dark Bribes, and Solemn Warnings/Judgments. It would suck very hard if you swarm the field ending with a Torrental/Dark Hole > Starlight Road Chain and your opponent negated your Starlight, which doesn't seem that hard to happen. xD[/b]

I personally use "My Body as a Shield" most of the time if I want to stop field nukes. Its less likely to be ruined by Trap Stun/Royal Decree.
Card is fun though.

The reason is because Stardust was not properly Synchro Summoned when summoned by this card, so it cannot be Special Summoned from the Graveyard or RFG zone, even by its own effect.

With Heavy gone, this has lost it's "staple" status.
