Mehmani
Has anyone ever realized that most very popular members are popular for being against this site's establishment somehow? Dark, Crab Helmet (he's very unorthodox, admittedly), Brushfire, Larxene, .Kowalski, Bloodrun (eventually), Draco, Omni, haris etc. The list could go on *cough* Mikhail Tal *cough* Now, have you ever noticed anything interesting about YCM's psychological profile?
She isn't. She's very popular, but she is definitely not the most popular member ever. And with all studies there are outliers. EDIT: To .Kowalski, remember you got post-banned for the sarcastic card reviews? "...against this site's establishment somehow?" That means "in some way" or "in some form or another". Basically, pushing the boundaries (which you do, particularly in TCG) constitutes my definition. And believe me, you are liked and respected in TCG for the way in which you speak. Wahrheit
Anyone can find a problem and complain about it. I got popular because I found the problems, explained them, asked for them to be changed, and gave specific omnibeneficial plans and instructions of how to implement those plans. The only thing the administration had to do was implement them, and people felt like that should happen and wasn't too much to ask (it wasn't). Some others followed my example after that or made reference to me given my taboo name and tried to ride my wave, but I dunno how well it worked. As for the others, people generally tend to follow people with legitimate points asking for change.

Rumiа
Don't lump Haris in the same category as everyone else, b****. If there is one thing I know about Haris it is that he is unique and simply did what he felt was right and aired what thoughts he wanted to express and acted accordingly. Haris is naturally loveable and just likes to be the leader of the pack, therefore he carried out all the porn raids and stuff like that. Before anyone asks "who the f*** are you?" I'm no one special, in fact; I just happen to know Haris off of YCM, there are a lot of events that link him and myself together, leading to me joining this forum, but I hardly want to get into that. ;D EDIT: Before anyone asks "why are you stealing Haris' favourite character from Bleach?" I'm not. I like Kaien because he represents something important to me.

CinnamonStar
I'm not popular?D:
Yin is moderator
And? Some people would still be popular without being mods IMO. Btw I don't really get the OMGsrs speech in this thread. Where does YCM have an "establishment" or "political psychology" on an Internet forum?-.- Sure we have a structure (admin, super mods, mods) that can be found on any forum and people who clean up after the parties. But it's not like we're a siekret important dangerous world organization that tries to oppress the poor proletarians, even though some of you wish it was. It's not by complaining about everything and shouting collectively louder than others that you're immediately right or cooler than others who don't habe so much to complain about, ya know.=/ There are always improvements to be made and countless people, even newbies, have found problems, explained them, asked them to be changed and given clear instructions on how they think it'd better and it's good it happens. But that still doesn't make everyone a radical political revolution courage wolf against the "establishment"â„¢, geez.-.- But I agree that if you shout louder and b**** moar, then you can become more popular on YCM, yes. If you're nice then it's going to be hard.
Wahrheit
You don't have to be a dictator to have social anthropology and psychology scenarios and applications. YCM is a prime example of applied social anthro and it's interesting to consider the various factors behind why members act the way they do. There are patterns everywhere.
