"Declare 1 Monster Card name. If the declared card is in your opponent's Deck, add 1 of that card to your opponent's hand."

Ruling: If you activate "Dark Designator" and your opponent says he/she has no cards in their Deck of that name, you may check the Deck to verify it.

Use this card for trolling? "I declare Shapesnatch. Don't have it? Let me look at your entire deck 8D" Next round swap it out for something useful. Or keep it to see your opponent's deck changes. Not a great strategy, but better than Abyssal Designator, despite not letting you look at the hand.

One of the reasons to include Shapesnatch in your side deck, to troll the opponent and anyone who tries to netdeck you.

I think technically that would mean the card "doesn't exist" in the game, and you have to pick a monster that exists.

@Wrathos: It's better than Abyssal Designator for this function. But if you're using a deck like Dolphin Control then Abyssal would be better. But this lets you look at the deck for free. If you're using it for the actual purpose of making it add a card to your opponent's hand, the only times I could think of that being useful is when you want to make your opponent dump something like Judgment Dragon.

Declare an anime only card for epic win

Again, you can't pick cards that "don't exist in the game".

@Darkplant: You MIGHT be able to get away with that. But I think it would only apply in a stiuation where nobody knew it wasn't a Fusion. I think if you knew it was a Fusion then you couldn't declare it, as you know it is physically impossible to exist in their deck.

It doesn't say that the card has to be in the deck. It's just a monster name.

Hm...I feel like being an @$$hole and declaring something like "El Chupacabra". It's a monster.

If it were a Trap, side it against Infernities to put unwanted cards in their hand, or declare Beetle to stop them Tributing for 2 more Beetle. Would be quite the lulz. However it isn't a Trap therefore is absolutely terrible.
